Has anyone installed the backup-sensors (do I need the KTC trim tool?)

I have reviewed the installation instructions and have a couple of questions; has anyone installed the back-up sensors personally? How hard was it?

Questions:

It calls for the use of a KTC trim removal tool for the removal of the upper trim (brake light area) page 9? Does anyone know what this tool is or where I could get one…. Is it really necessary? Has anyone taken this trim piece off their ridgeline – according to the installation instructions for the tonneau cover this trim needs to be removed? Is there an alternative whay of removing this trim besides the KTC tool?
The sensors require an additional switch to be located in the tail gate opening and it uses two screws along with “blind nuts” which are to be installed in the holes that need to be drilled - Page 17. Does anyone know if these blind nuts need the special “rivet nut tool” to install them? Thanks

I installed them on my truck a long thin flat srew driver will pop the clips
but you will find if you break any of the clips there is replacements in the
box anyway. You do need to remove the front and right side bed panels so if you have a tonneau cover on it that will have to come off to. The blind nuts take no special tools to install. The rear seat is a two person job it is quite heavy. To complete this you will find a lot off dissasembly of the truck it took me five hours to complete and I was a honda body tech for 15 years
