After living in Pittsburgh for 11 years and being a steadfast Steeler fan for ages, and being an east Tennessee gal who watched Peyton Manning grow up here in Knoxville, next week's game is going to be great to watch and even tougher to see one of the teams lose.

This is gonna be some great football. May the best team win and players stay uninjured.

That game will likely be better than the Super Bowl!

The thing about this particular Steelers team, although similar to many previous Steelers teams, is that they play as a team but at the same time their individual personalities shine through as being strong, credible and deserving of being role models. No primadonnas here! Theres the Cinderella story of Big Ben Roethlisberger, the majic of The Bus - Jerome Bettis, the consistant drive of Willie Parker, the flash of Antwaan Randle El, the entire offensive front line, and, of course, the amazing performance and the infectious smile of Hines Ward. On defense, who can say that they don't enjoy watching Troy Polamalu.

I felt bad for Troy yesterday when he lost his cool. Did you see his face after he hit that Bengal in the face with the football?? He really looked sorry. And then later as he was talked to by Bill on the sidelines...you can tell he has a gentle soul as they say he does.:(
Sure must have been a whole heap of testosterone in that stadium with that and all the little fights they got into. Now..that's football. :D ( as long as no one gets hurt )

Go Steelers. As a Bronco fan, the ideal scenario is for the Broncos and the Steelers to win this weekend, setting up the AFC championship in Denver on the 22nd. Given the mystique and experience of the Pats and the overall dominance of the Colts, this is probably a tall order but I can dream, can't I??
