First post here- thanks to everyone for all the info located on this site. I have ordered the Elemmat Bed Mat from Murdock Industries and wondering if having a mat in the bed will trap the water that will get in through the Tonneau Cover. Thanks for any info!

I get a little water through the tonneau (Access) but haven't noticed any problems with my mat or bed.

Welcome, ajax3811. I hope you'll stick around and post some more. What tonneau cover do you have or plan to get?

We get such a tiny bit of water past our Retrax, I wouldn't worry about the mat. Then I live in a high desert and we don't get much precipitation either.

Hey Truckin'- Thanks for the response.

I was planning on getting the Honda cover- still not sure though as there is so much storage with this vehicle already. Ordered the mat- looks like a great product and hate stuff sliding around in the back. After some thought I wondered if water will get trapped under the mat and cause problems- with or without the top.

Also wondering what the "doggie deck" is...???

We don't have a truck bed mat in our bed, just a rubber backed floor mat about 3'x4'. It keeps things from slipping about when we're out shopping.

If you do a search of bed mat, you will find quite a few people have posted about theirs. I take that back. The search terms are not easily turning up anything, but I know there are some threads out there about using mats. I was able to find one thread by using "stall mat" in the search. Someone else is bound to chime in about their mat.

The doggie deck is something we designed the first weekend we had our Ridgeline so that our dogs could have a comfortable ride. I posted a detailed description and lots of photos on this thread:

I have the bed mat installed in my truck but I don't have the tonneau cover. We have lots of rain here in FL and I have not had any problems with water entrapment. Great mat, works as advertised, highly recommend.
