You know what they say about dumb questions, but I have never had to do this. In Maryland you have to have your front license plate. I see where it's suppose to go, but I'm used to the holes already being there. What do you do, drill them or are clips behind the places where the screws go. Use self tapping or not? State DMV still hasn't sent permanent tags, so still have PA temps.

Your dealer should provide you a front plate holder. Maybe they didn't because a front plate isn't required in the state where you purchased. If you look at GEEK1's truck in the Image/Video Gallery, you can see the plate holder. This link might get you there.

The holes are behind the covers though, pop 'em off with a screw driver. Self tapping screw are probably the best but as mentioned the dealer should provide the plate and screws if required in your state.

Thanks fellas, think I'll use Buckeye's suggestion, though. I'm scheduled to take the truck in Monday to get my visors installed, so I'll have them put the plate holder on then.

In NJ front plates are manditory as well. However cops are a bit lax at times. People will have all kinds of things up front that "Pass" for a plate. Anyway, Ihave found that one should use stainless screws for mounting plates. People tend to use what they can find in the shop or at the hardware store. This can rust or corrode over time.
