Good Morning ROC'ers:
I'm new to the ROC forum and look forward to splitting hairs with what seems to be quite a few satisfied Ridge' owners.....I got no complaints about mine so far...My Black RTL is a virgin with no exterior accessories...

I was searching through the forum for running boards and came across some folks who didn't seem happy with them...paint issues and such...Is this still the case? Certainly will appreciate your opinions...

I'm a Colts fan from Indy hence, the ID horseshoejim, and yes, a true Hoosier as well..I've suffered through many of the early years following these Colts since they moved here in 1984 so no... I'm not a closet fan either. I was here when Art Schlister/Mike Pagel were QBs Gee where are they now?..I think one of them still might have a room in the Marion County Jail..

I'm hoping to gloat this weekend, then attend my first AFC championship at age 49...Geeesh! well anyway, glad to be a part of this group. Looking forward to chatting.

Thanks for replying so quickly...your work schedule slow today too? Thanks for clarifying..I did not realize sidesteps were different...Yep, would be the running boards that I am interested in purchasing. It is easy to be confused..Any purchase suggestions you have experienced from the net other than the dealer? Thx!

Hi Jim, Congrats on your new truck and welcome to the club. You may want to check with H & A Accessories or College Hills Honda for your Ridgeline goodies! The typical dealer wants to make their monthly rent with their markup! :D

Bikr is 100% correct again it was the powder coated side steps that had issues. :D

I have the running boards and while I don't need them to access the interior of the truck they are pretty handy when accessing my cargo box on the roof. They are also useful for my 4yr.

If you don't need something to climb in and out of the truck you might consider just Basickoncept dress bars (http://basickoncepts.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=23&products_id=32)

Hi Horseshoe. Welcome and congrats on the RL.

I got the running boards and have had no problems (the problems were the sidesteps).

There are some threads on how to install them yourself. You can buy them cheaper online at places like www.handaaccessories.com or hondacuraworld.com (free shipping).

Personally, I went to a local body shop (someone I knew through work connections). I had them order and install them for about $100 cheaper than the dealer. If you know anyone in the auto body shop business they can get the parts at cost.

Good luck and be sure to post some pics when you get them installed!

Thanks for all your advice! An opinion is always appreciated in my book. It is too bad our nickels won't buy us a cup of coffee these days..I'm on my way to the voting booth for Team BLACK!..
