Has anyone seen such a product?
It seems like I have but now I can't find one.....

It seems like I saw something that could be laid open in the bed while you loaded luggage/gear and then a "drawstring type closure" would pull up and around to seal it shut........Maybe this was just a dream that I had....... :D

This would be quite large and similar to a "flat tarp". If I have to, I'll just use 2 tarps. Also, I am not talking about the somewhat small bags that cover luggage on a roof rack. I want something large that would cover/hold a bed full of gear/luggage.

Thanks for any info!!!

Maybe this is what your remember seeing. It was our solution to the dilemma. It actually is called a draw string tarp and we got it at Wallly World. It was plenty big to come up the walls of the truck bed, but not large enough to fold over and draw together on top of the packed trip supplies. If you're not hauling as much as we did, you should have that slack. It worked well, as you can read in my description.

I bought a cargo bed net from the dealer. I will use a tarp to cover them then use the cargo bed net to secure it. :)

I use two types... I have a waterproof soft car top carrier manufactured by Kanga. It perfectly fits into the bed of the truck. It is vinyl covered canvas and has taped seams and flaps over the zippers. I believe it cost around 250.00. It is a little expensive but worth it. The cool thing about using it with the ridgeline is when fully loaded with stuff you don't want to get wet, (luggage, etc) you can't see it because the bedsides and tailgate are too high. I have actually went through a carwash with this thing and nothing got wet inside. I also use a dry bag. These are used on rafting expeditions ( I live near the whitewater rafting capital of the east) and they are truely waterproof. You can get them in many different sizes from the budget model at wal mart to the esoteric models sold at speciality shops (read $$$$$!) I use the dry bag to go in the in bed trunk. It usually hauls: Wet cleats, uniforms, wet and muddy socks, wet shin guards, wet towels, wet clothes, etc. I sorta use this bag in reverse. I keep all the wet muddy things in the bag which will keep them from getting everything else wet and muddy. I used to use garbage bags, but that only works for soft wet things (shoes poke holes!) So, I hope this helps.

I was looking at one at Target that goes on roof rack. It said on the package that is was waterproof. It was $79.99. We will probably buy it for our vacation for additional storage in the bed.
