I have been lurking and reading and thinking a lot for some time. On Monday I am trading my Tacoma for a shiny Silver RTL with moon roof and navigation system. I don't really need the bells and whistles, but I want them and I am at a point in my life where I like to pamper myself. I did all my shopping via the internet, since I hate to have to deal with car salesmen face to face. (My semi-apologies to any car salesmen/ women reading this, but y’all are way too pushy and tend to exaggerate (pronounced lie).) I did take two test drives from different dealers and neither of the salesmen knew anywhere near as much about the truck as I did. I was able to get quotes from 8 dealers within a 200 mile radius without having to actually talk to any of them. The best was $1,000 below invoice and of course that is the one I took. One even tried to go over invoice because they are “hard to get because of the demand for leasing”. See what I mean about salesmen/women. The dealer I am buying from didn't even have a silver one on the lot, but got me one from another dealer today to be delivered Monday, after I said yes. I have the offer in writing and print out to take with me, so there will be no surprises on Monday . Thanks to this board, I will take the checklist with me when I go to pick it up and I will know what to look for as far as problems and will be able to recognize them. I am not a prolific poster and never will be. I have been a member of several forums for a year or two and I have never posted there, but I am a prolific reader. Thanks again and please keep up the wealth of great info for me to read.:)

Congrats !!
This truck really has few problems. The internet can make it SEEM to have more problems then it really does. You have to expect some issues from a first year platform.
We Love our truck, does what we need to do with no wimpering;)
Lets see some photos !!

Welcome aboard and congratulations Hooha12! You are in for a great ride! We're glad that you found us. You have come to the right place to find good information about your Ridgeline and a lot of other things that may surprise you. Prior to finding the ROC, I never participated in on line forums either. I have found the ROC to be such a wealth of information and is so different than other forums that I visited that I could not help myself but to become involved. Unlike so many other forums, ROC members are mature and considerate and respect each others varying opinions and points of view. We all work very hard to maintain the excellent decorum that we all enjoy. Even though you may not have posted in the past, I encourage you to never be afraid to jump right in and post your questions or your ideas. Your contributions will help to make the ROC even better.
Once again, welcome!

Congrats on your new truck with all the bells and whistles. We had the same philosophy about pampering ourselves and getting the top model with everything we wanted. I'm so glad we did.
I've never been involved in a forum to this degree either. It's been fun to engage in the banter and ask questions or post information or at least point people in the right direction so they can find their answers from the more knowledgeable people on this forum.
I hope that you'll break through and post some. I love your avatar!

Hi Hooha12, welcome to the club! I too traded a Tacoma in on the Ridgeline. The Ridgeline is so different from the Tacoma, you will be glad you did.
The other Senior Members and Moderator LadyRidge said it all. Ditto!:) Thanks for the positive first post!

For the record, I am the one who turned on Hooha12 to the RL. If it wasn't for me he would still be driving the Tacoma. However, I still haven't forgiven him for purchasing his RL five months BEFORE I purchased mine. In the long run it turned out ok because I benefitted from Hooha12's buying experience with the dealer. Thanks Hooha12....
