Hey Flip.
If you get a Vegas meet going definatly keep me in the loop, cause I wouldn't mind driving up for a weekend. I'm in Phx,AZ (4hr drive).

I love to gamble and call Vegas my 2nd home.

Welcome to the ROC

Flip, if you wanna meet RL owners, come to Sedona, AZ! Only 4 hours southeast! See my thread in Meets and Greets :D

If you get a Vegas group together, let me know also. I may be interested in coming up there. I will be up there for sure in late spring to help my brother-in law move back to AZ.

I know the feeling, Flip.... Some of the Arizona ROC members don't come onto the website as often anymore. I went thru member listings, found some of them, looked at their profiles and sent private email messages to those that posted their personal email addy.

Sure is a lot of effort to get to meet. Just gotta go with those here.

There is the brochure if you do a search....could always leave that on their car!

Keep us posted if you end up meeting...if its a Saturday, may make it up there!

Nice, what year Lude? I had to rid myself of my '01 to get the Ridge, but then again, I don't get harrassed by the cops anymore or the ricers in their civics

I had an 03 Element that I got rid of to get my RL. My prelude is my baby. I am about to turn it into a trailer queen. I am sure you know how us Prelude owners can be. I have a 92 AWS SI Prelude with a 97 Vtec installed. ALso have JDM Climate control and Power Folding Mirros to install. Will also be installing 5th generation Fog Lights in my 4th generation grill. I love my ridge as much as I love my Prelude and I am sure that will grow to be equal in no time and I just got my RL last week.

Seen in Henderson:

Redrock Pearl RL parked behind the westernmost building in the Paseo Verde Professional Park (overlooking Pecos Road, just S of Pecos exit off 215).

Today, another Redrock Pearl RTL running up Horizon Ridge to the south. Went into a garage in a DL Horton neighborhood by the Sloan Canyon Dam. Put his garage door down before I could get his attention.

PM me when you get unpacked and I'll give you my cell number.

FYI, also anything you need RE: school, utility, vehicle registration info.

I can send you the same packet of info that we give to prospective home buyers from my R.E. broker's office. PM me with a Post Office address, if you want.

HINT: If you're on the South end of town, it's a LOT faster to drive to the DMV in Laughlin than to spend half a day in the Henderson DMV. However, there's a company called LINEBUSTERS (this is not a commercial) which will go do your DMV registration business for you. They can't help on the DL, though.

Also, Clark County jury pools are drawn from Drivers' License names, not from Voter Registrations, so register to vote as soon as you can.

Our local politics are the Greatest Show on Earth!!!

I'm flying out there within the next week for a job interview. If I do indeed get a good offer, are there some of you Vegasites I can ask about life in the Vegas area?

... in return, I'll fill you in on living around the Florida beaches! :)

thanks!

I'm coming out there on Tue 5/16 (land in the morning), have all day to do whatever, interview on Wed morning for a couple of hrs then again all day to wander about. then Thur, take off at 7 am (pacific) to return home.

I've been there 3 times before, so the "regular" tourist thing is old for me. I may wander over to the Bellagio for the dancing water show as that's cool no matter how many times you see it. I may definitely have to get over to the "Red ROCk Canyon"

I just noticed that there is a "Hooter's" casino/hotel. That is new since I've been out there last. cool or not? (BTW: I am 34 yo guy  ) Is there a lot of "eye-candy" as in the Hard Rock Casino?

On my trip to Vegas, I went through Red Rock Canyon National Park. Very neat place! If I move out there, I'll have to get photos of my Redrock touring this place. I had a rental car and bought the insurance that the company offers... then I went off-roading in Redrock Canyon. I was really hauling azz on a few of the trails. I took a few big rocks pretty hard but the Dodge Stratus held up well. :D I got nervous on one of the trails as I wasn't sure if the Stratus could take much more of what I was putting it through. But I made it.

Nice friggin gas prices in Vegas! $3.11-$3.19 ... dang! I won't complain about Florida's $2.71 anymore.

When they finish I-215 on the western side, that'll be a sweet road.

Dang! I wish I knew before hand, but I'll find you if I come out again (or move out there). I was looking for things to do. It's been about 10 yrs since I stepped into the Palms. Casinos I did get to: Bellagio, Mirage (great buffet there at $25), Venetian, Caesars Palace. I stayed in Henderson just off Stephanie/Warm Springs rd, so I also went to Green Valley Ranch and Sunset Station.

I was shocked that San Remo was gone as I stayed there two times before as it was at least $20 less a night. I had planned on going into Hooters and Wynn (newly built since my previous trip) but ran out of time on my two day trip as Red Rock Canyon was a priority for me.

Was looking for a Vegas/Ridgeline thread in 'search' and this looks like the official thread, though it looks like no activity for about year.

New Ridge owner. 2008 NGM RTL (non-nav). Located in the SW area, Jones/Robindale.

Not sure if any Vegas activities happen. I am active with local Jeep and some VW activities.

We once had someone come to the Sedona (AZ) meet from Henderson, NV. That's been about it for the LV connection.

So keep checking on the south by southwest thread. We will be hosting Sedona V in April (see signature -firm dates). We had 21 RLs last year, and this year we have at least one coming from the east coast.

That might be fun.

I attended NAU for a few years (87/88/89) before finishing in Vegas. Love the Flagstaff, Sedona, Canyons, Slide Rock area. Before the boys came along we used to head up to Flag a couple times a year. It would be nice to get out to that area again.

My two usually come to the meet (boy, 7 and girl, 8). They've been coming for years. But I see your point with the 2 1/2 year old.

We planned on using two days, with the first being pretty much Sedona. The second day may take us a little south of Sedona as soon as Jason, Tucker, Mike and I get to see where to go. Last year we did the Grand Canyon on day two and it was a bit much for many. Perhaps we could also consider Flagstaff which will put you close to home. But don't feel obligated, either, to stay the whole day if your youngest is tired. Not everyone makes it the whole day and thats fine. Its your family trip, make it work for you and the family.

dudes... we should totally do a Vegas meet you know I am turning 23 on November 11th and I STILL HAVE YET TO GO TO VEGAS! WTH! something is totally wrong with that but again I would request a weekend early month so I could get away from work with no worries of being jobless when i get home! lol

But yeah welcome to ROC THE MOST BAD ARSEST PLACE TO BE ... Its a place where we live like rockstars in our nice comfy trucks and then complain about gas prices, but totally have it off easy cause you know those OTHER trucks are going thru like three times the gas LOL anyways... I am V and I am down for a Vegas meet...

there I put in my two cents worth LOL

My Ridgeline super mama printed us up some amazingly awesome roc forum cards to put on peeps windshields or doors or hand out... I have gone thru two batches... maybe she can send you the basic format and you can print out a few! Truckin is my super mama!

Kev how many vegas peeps do we have in ROC??? Aside from the few who said they were Vegas ridgies on here???

Vegas is a great place for a meet.

A few years back we had a 8th civic round-up here in Vegas and folks had a good time. Lots of things to do, and lots of places you can go within reasonable driving distance (including legal brothels ;) ...okay, I always through that in, heh).

You have, of course, the casinos and all of their 'attractions'.
Redrock
Valley of Fire
Lake Mead/Lake Mohave
Laughlin Run/Petroglyphs
Short cruise to Mt. Charleston
Hoover Dam (done meets and tours there)

Will be hot in June, to be sure. 105 to 112, depending on early to late June.

I had to take off work just to host my own meet! But it's worth it.

Next weekend the So Cal group is having a gathering at Donehy St. Park. You might want to check that one out. After that, most likely another So Cal meet in SD.

You could, of course, start your own meet! There is nothing scheduled for the 'National" weekend in our region for June. So that probably would draw a crowd! :D
