Luder62678R1 01-23-2006, 05:35 PM I just gave the go ahead on my Black RTL NAV, which I will be picking up tomorrow evening, and as part of the deal they are throwing in the mud guards and "door guards". I'm not sure if this is the little (usually) black trim that runs down the side of the doors, or if it is the (how handa shows) "Body Side Protectors"
Thanks

Door guards are typically the strip that runs vertically along the door edge.
Side protectors are the long horizontal pieces that extend the length of the cabin.
If you still want pictures, I can go take some, but I don't have the door guards.

That'll do, thats what I figured they were, just wanted to make sure I knew what I was looking for tomorrow night. Thanks for the quick response.

Anytime!! :D
I meant to add that I would check with your dealer on the verbage just to be sure you both are on the same page.
Ultra-HOG 01-23-2006, 06:33 PM Luder62678R1, you do have excellent taste in vehicles, and color! hers is a picture of the side protectors on a black ridgeline. I think that they are absolutely worth the rather high price that they want for them. That is, unless thtey are what your dealer is throwing it with your deal. I hate door dings and so far mine have been pretty effective. If you look carefully in just the right light you can see where some A$$#**& has banged their door into the side of my truck. It can only happen when there is no other choice than to park near other vehicles because I usually park as far away as possible.
Congratulations again and good luck!
Rich W. 01-23-2006, 10:26 PM Ultra-HOG, great looking ride. The chrome wheels, are they factory, or did you do the aftermarket swap?

Here's a post about door guards that might be useful to you.

See, that's my confusion, I'm not sure if I'll end up with the thin black 1/4" trim, or the side protectors. I guess I'll hafta wait and see tonight exactly what they've installed. I can't wait!

If it were me, I would be calling to make sure you get what you want.

They're dealer freebies, I'm not really concerned about it either way, regardless if it's the side pieces or the edge trim, I won't mind, I like the truck with or without the side pieces.
