Has anyone replaced the pollen filter? I had to replace it in my wifes' 05 Odyssey and you've got to remove the glove box, then cut the plastic and remove the cover on the evaporator for access. Takes a bit of work. Just wondering what to expect on the Ridgeline. Thanks. (Couldn't find anything in the common service manual.)

I have not done this replacement yet.....
While installing my XM Skyfi 2 unit I noticed that it "appears" that all you need to do is remove the glove box stops on each side of the glove box. They just pop out. Then the glove box flips down. The filter is behind the glove box.
Sorry not much detailed help, but it appears to be a very easy replacement. A LOT easier than the Pilot!
BTW - I replaced my Pilot Pollen filter at 13k and it was black with all kinds of dirt!

Thanks for the info. I thought it might be similar. We replace them on other models every 10,000 and they usually do look pretty bad. Had one customer wait for 30,000 miles and it was almost black!

According to the service manual, it appears to be very simple.
1. Open the glove box. Remove the damper and the glove box stop on each side, then let the glove box hang down.
2. Remove the dust and pollen assembly from the evaporator.
3. Remove the filter from the housing, and replace the filter.
4. Install the filter in the reverse order of removal. Make sure that there is no air leaking out of the evaporator.
The pictures indicate that once the glove box is lowered, it is as simple as opening and closing a kitchen drawer.
It recommends replacement every 30,000 miles or 24 months, whichever comes first, but more often if the airflow becomes restricted or the vehicle is driven in areas that have high concentrations of soot from industry or diesel powered vehicles.

I'll probably need the new filter before long. I'm at 20,100+ miles as of today.

I don't know but I'm certain that others have fooled with the glove box for various mods/installs. It's my understanding that it is a simple ball and socket type connection.

It's pretty easy. I removed mine when I installed my iPod Music Link. I found the retaining tabs for the stoppers to be really stiff.....but other than that it went pretty smooth.
Here is a link to the installation instructions I had for the Music Link. Step #3 describes how to remove the glove box. Don't bother removing the screws, just let the glove box hang down.
Good luck!
