I have a monitor that I would like to install as part of a "do-it-yourself" backup camera. I can mount it in the sunvisor or use the universal mount to mount it on the dash (I don't think so!) or in the well below and in front of the center console. I don't use that space and it would be convenient for wiring.
My question is...has anyone installed a monitor in the driver's side sunvisor? Can the wires be routed through the visor mount? Can the wires be run down the pillar without interfering with the air bag? Once I get the wiring to the level of the dash I think I know how to proceed. I was hoping someone had tried this already and prevent me getting half way through the job and finding it can't be done.
