How are the speakers on the RTL model? Someone had mentioned swapping them for better speakers. Does anyone have any info on this? thanks
Good Speakers?maybearidge 03-28-2005, 09:46 AM How are the speakers on the RTL model? Someone had mentioned swapping them for better speakers. The subwoofer and base is awesome for a 50 year old like me. bongus 03-28-2005, 11:08 AM With the factory headunit and factory speakers, I feel the combination is very good. If you intend on adding an amplifier to the system then I believe replacing the stock speaker is important to get the most out of an external amplifier. Hope this helps. maybearidge 04-02-2005, 02:04 PM thanks for the info! Whaleya 04-03-2005, 08:53 PM The stereo is OK. My Subaru Outback LL Bean has a better stereo. kanji 04-03-2005, 09:03 PM well i test drove an RTS, i'm assuming that its the same system as RTL. every day use and for someone who listen to the radio most of the time. Stereo system and speakers is actually good. Subwoofer didn't sound distorted when bass was hitting and high's and mid's sound clear. When turned up and didn't get blurry sound and its nice and clean. Possible upgrade, i will probably choose without adding additional amps or crossover's, for the door speakers i would choose from these speakers- Infinity Reference 6002i : Alpine SPS-170A : Infinity Kappa 63.5i Guessing on the size of the door speakers maybe 5 1/4 or 6 1/2 :) Keoni 05-17-2005, 08:42 PM I don't know about the rear, but the front door speakers are 5-1/4". I am changing them out tomorrow for Alpine 130A speakers (paid $75 for the pair). If that improves the sound (especially the front highs), then I'll change the rear speakers as well (they appear to be 5-1/4" as well). I will report my findings to the group.
