Took a weekend trip to central Cali to visit relatives, loaded up the ridge carrying 2 adults and luggage. Had about 1900 miles on the odo.
MPG from Temecula to Fresno was shade under 18, up til then Ive been averaging 14-15 driving around town. I was like hmmmm.
Came back home yesterday, from Merced to Santa Clarita it was 20 mpg, this was 80mph average and coming over the grapevine too.
RPM at 80 was around 2500, I remember my old Prelude's 2.0 was turning 4000 at that speed

Your right. RPM runs much higher in my Prelude than in my Ridgeline. However MPG in Ridgeline at 72 mph is around 21 and mpg in Prelude is around 32. What a difference a couple of thousand pounds makes.

The Lude's are geared completely differently to give the responsiveness of driving a sport car. Mine had power in every gear and could move *real quick* and a slight push on the gas. My RLs mileage isn't as good as my Prelude was, but then again, I'm not getting tickets anymore (knock on wood) and not having everyone and their mother wanting to race me :D ... So in the end, I'm saving money by not getting tickets  If I feel the need for speed, I'll take out my 04 Yamaha R1. No tickets there, the red and blue team just give up

Thats great, I started getting better mileage after the first oil change at around 8000 kms.
