Well, today at the Marysville dealership, I bought a 2006 Civic LX to go along with my Ridgeline to have both the Motor Trend truck and car of the year.

However, mine aren't matching colors....

Congrats!!!! I think Kellcut also has the Civic, hers is a Hybrid I believe, and a Ridgeline, of course.

Can't wait for you to post pics!!!!!

Ok - AmazonGreen beat me to this post!

We ALSO became proud owners of a 2006 Honda Civic Si - and ours matches our Ridgeline!!!!

I'd post pics, but it is DARK outside right now, so all you'd see is a black picture :D

I will post tomorrow the pics - AmazonRidge was at Honda Marysville at the same time we were today - first official meet of Dual Honda Vehicles of the year!!!! (membership in Marysville, OH = 2)

You are most correct :)

I'm working on the pictues, just can't seem to get both our cars together to get a good pic :)

Two SILVER Hondas - they weigh less, have less paint, and Honda puts the tweaked motors in them.

If you've got some time, you've got to go try out one of the Civic Si's - at one point, I looked (slightly) down at the odometer, and laughed out loud. I haven't had a car going that fast with so little effort in a LONG time.

The shifting is so smooth, the throttle response is awesome, and the handling is just flat out amazing. The positive feedback the steering gives just adds to the experience.

If I didn't need the truck for hauling the family and other stuff, I'd be sooooo tempted to trade in the RL and get a second Si!

That said, my (our) RL is still the best handling truck on the road.

RedrockRT - totally correct!

Prime: First in rank or degree

Prime: used of the first or originating age

Prime: choice: of superior grade

Prime: the time of maturity when power and vigor are greatest

Prime: being at the best stage of development

I've suggested to my wife that she gets the license plate: AG SI

Ok - went outside and froze my fingers off getting pics this morning. Brilliant blue sky, great lighting and nice subject to photograph. Sorry, the bikini model refused to go outside to model with her new car.

Yes, Ridgeln, it was a little chilly out there. Since my truck was not presentable, I went to wash it...thus the icicles on the front :)

We went with the gray Civic LX. We didn't even test drive the Si, or it could have gotten us in trouble (you know, budget-wise).

The new Civic design is very nice, I must admit.

Congratulations AmazonRidge. You should send a picture to Honda. Maybe they'll put you on the cover of Motor Trend. :)
Stay safe.

I had to dust off the Si - one of the cats walked across it last night :D

AmazonRidge - good thing you weren't wanting the Si - it was the only one Honda Marysville had on the lot and my wife was on a mission! Great pics of your two "Of The Years."

Ron - I forgot about the fogs - they are nice, aren't they? We went out to celebrate last night, wife had a drink, so I "HAD" to drive it home (oh, the sacrifice!). I had too much fun with the test drive. 5700 RPM is when that VTEC really kicks in - WOW!!!!! We got this car because it "gets good gas mileage" - but some results will vary - and I have a feeling that in the first month or so, our results will vary a lot! I'd better not spend much time driving this "kart with A/C" - I'll probably rack up some serious points on my license (and after 24 years with none, I'm probably due...)

We test drove the EX and LX a couple weeks ago - my mom had a late '90's Civic, and boy has this car grown up! I really like the ride and handling even of the EX/LX models. Honda really deserves the Car of the Year award for the Civic.

Now we own 2 Canadian Built Hondas, eh!

I LOVE the low angle shots.

Thanks - owning a wide angle lens is a lot of fun (10-24mm - Canon 20D) - to get the shot, I literally had to lie on the ground so that my shadow didn't end up in the pic and to get the angle I wanted. Both vehicles look bad a$$, IMO!

Ron - forgot, wife wants to leave her car "alone" for now - I'll PM you when she decides to do a little moding of the car.

Dry roads, nothin' to do - sounds like a good day today!

Sorry if I corn fused you, 5S Dude. She doesn't want to change anything on the vehicle for now - adding the sill plates are something I think she'll want to do, just not now. She'll probably change her mind after she sees your son's done.
