"General Motors today said it will recall more than 900,000 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra pickup trucks to replace potentially defective tailgate support cables that could corrode and break.
The vehicles are in addition to the more than 4 million pickup trucks the world's largest automaker recalled in 2004 for the same problem, which has resulted in more than 100 injuries after the cables break and the tailgate collapses."
