Should we make the next 2 meets Catered Food (Rattlers baby!) or Bring Your Own Food?

My opinion as mentioned in the other thread is to keep it simple. Hamburgers and Hotdogs for the meet at CR if it should take place.

Something more nicer for the meet at LP, like catered food. But as a food lover...lol...I am open for anything....can't twist my arm.

I like the idea of catering the Lake Perris site! :D

hmmm...all sounds so good, catered may find it difficult sometimes, but it will be less hassel to everyone forgetting to bring small things. Now, BYOF. a small stop at costco, food4less, or Sams club may also be a good idea too, but it all depends if you're just feeding your self or some of the others, similar to a Pot lUck type...All sound good, BTW where is Lake Parris? is that off near the 215?..hmm need to google the site.

wouldn't it make more sense to cater cerritos (don't have BBQ grills) and bring your own to perris (have bbq grills)?

Oh well! I guess we're out voted Tony! Bring yer own grub it is. I'll bring the three-quarter-pound cuts of filet mignon with the fresh Maine lobster tails and the full racks of meaty, barbecued ribs slathered with Cindy's soy-tinged barbecue sauce. What r u bringin?:D

I'm glad someone asked this question. I was wondering the same thing.

i was thinking along the lines of making some midwestern style brats.

brats cooked in beer, then grilled, add onions to remaining boiling beer, when the brats have decent grill marks ... add them back into the beer/onion mix.

toast the hot dog buns and have the mustard ready.

so tasty!

That's a grand offer, but I don't think that one is even remotely in the cards. I haven't ruled out Reno, or made arrangements for it, but that would be more likely. Have you thought of going to Reno?

One of my best friends from grad school lives in Reno and I'd love to see her and see Garth again.

Reno would be really cool but I was kinda thinking about the ROC camping trip to South Lake Tahoe. It was the last place we took the Winniebago before we sold it. This place has some of the most awesome mountain bike trails on the planet! and the air seems so fresh & clean up there.

Yeah, Garth's a great guy, he's one of the pioneers in getting my door sill project up and running. BTW, love your fender trim!

so ... what kind of catered food does everyone have in mind? we ought to figure out the top 3 and vote on that.

Tonight, after I got off from working 10 hours of overtime at LAX,(:D ), I drove over to meet Racer-X in Cerritos to install my intake, (To be discussed in another thread!), and while the engine cooled off, do an advance on Cerritos Regional Park. With the locals getting there early, we can have as much parking as we can get. But we have to get there real early. If not we will or may park on the grass. Here are the photos I took with Q Ball in some of the shots!....

More pictures in Cerritos......

Please give your opinions and remember that if Bring Your Own Food wins, that means we go to Lake Perris because they have grills. We have to cater Cerritos unless you wish to bring your own there as well. I will obtain info a barbecue catering service I spoke of. Anyone else that knows of a caterer post the info. The the caterer a committee my need to be formed for this one. So besides myself, 5S Dude, Ridgegal, and Racer-X, does anyone else want to assist with this? Holler back! ;)

thanks for suggesting parking on the grass and bringing up memories of when i did donuts on it during one of the carnivals and was chased by the police. ok, sp they didn't catch me. heh! even i was surprised that dodge arrow's were that quick.

i can't believe the put in fountain jets in the middle of that blasted algea pond. it's got to be an enema supreme for the loval water fowl. sorry .. i digress.

ok ... i know i'm the new kid on the block and all. here's what it boils down to. if we hit LP early enough (even late) on a saturday (w/reservations) and we go late there ... camping there for the night is an option. i would love to sit around a campfire with like minded people swapping stories.
