Pittsburg/Antioch/Bay Area mini meet

Hi all , this is to all in the Bay area area, I live in McKinleyville ( north of Eureka south of Crescent City, the real northern California ) I plan on being in the Pittsburg/Antioch area on or about the 26th of May for a Brother-in-law's birthday . I was hoping to arrange a mini meet then if anyone is interested . Maybe Mt. Diablo or Contra Loma park for the beautiful vistas to take pictures of our RL's with . I grew up in Pittsburg and graduated in 79, moved to Berkeley in 81 and up here in 92 after I lost 9 yards in the Oakland/Berkeley hills fire, :D I tell everyone that I literally got fired from all of my jobs in 24 hours . Boy, was that ever a change of life for me . ;)

Wow! A Pittsburgh to Pittsburg_ cross-country trip would be cool as hell for a Memorial Day Weekend jaunt, but alas, I've got some bar-b-que duties to perform on this side of the country. :) (my sister's B-day is the 29th of May)

May 26th is my brother-in-laws party, so the meet will be most likely on saturday, there are a few members in the north bay interested too, so give me a hollar if you all think that Clear lake would be good, or even 2 mini meets , one in the napa/vacaville area and one in the pittsburg/concord area. Though it would be wonderful if we could all meet together , makes little difference for me since I will be traveling 350 miles anyway . I do love mount Diablo though , I grew up with her in our sight everyday and went there in the winter to play in the snow, but clearlake makes for wonderful backdrops for photos and we do not have to worry about bringing our dogs.

I'm down for a Bay Area meet. :cool:

I'm interested, but can't commit to the date just yet.... Clear Lake seems a little far to me, though -- I'd prefer a Mt. Diablo meet.

Well , so far it looks like Kayaker, Jay, Princess, Moneymaker, regulardude and my self are on for a meet , Uglytruckling is a maybe at the time and would like to see it a Mt. Diablo . I think that I need to do a thread on the choice of Clearlake or Mt. Diablo or even make it 2 meets that weekend now, one on Saturday and one on Sunday too , I will be in both Pittsburg and Vacavile that weekend . I checked on google earth and members in the bay area that have not posted a reply are Blue, 2276K6, spritegeezer, cjricci, suferdude, nick, singkit, tux, kahnartist, dsowell, and DWdrums . We also have a potential joiner from Stockton too .

I'll go if it's at Mt. Diablo. I also suggest meeting at the lower parking lot as the top one is usually quite full on the weekends. The lower one is a few hundred yards below the top one and usually empty.

I'm up for it, too. That's my birthday weekend so can't commit for sure right now, but it's a definite possibility!
