Indy 500 ROC meet - book mark this

Refer to this post for updates on the Indy 500 meet.My wife said she would organize it.Which Saturday does everyone want? I will pick the one with the most votes. Remember>>This is Indy,This is May,It ALLWAYS rains.:(
I also need to know how many people and how many Ridgelines will be there.

What about timing? Meet for breakfast/lunch/dinner? Personally, I would rather drive over the day of and meet for lunch, then do whatever (IMS/IRP), and end it on a nice dinner somewhere.

But, whatever.

as of friday 3/31/06 I have 7 RL's .My wife will be making a schedule with me and I will post it and then we can decide if we like it or not. But Sat 5/13/06( pole position at the track ) is the day we are looking at. Day at the track,dinner that night and possible breakfast the next day for people like Ladyridge being outoftowners and then kicking them the heck out of my town!:p

This is what I was talking about. I'll never forget the first time I walked up to the outside of turn 1 from White Castle! Is it still there? (White Castle I mean)

yes that is Georgetown rd. No there is no white castle.It hasnt been there for at least 15 years,maybe longer.

How 'bout some flyers to (a) hand out at the local dealerships and (b) put on random Ridgelines. We would just need to put the schedule, a link to here and a contact person.

I can probably work it up in a day or two in Illustrator and then PDF it and post it here. Would just need the ROC logo from TMac and the contact info we want to use. E-mail me if that sounds good.

Well, wouldn't you know it, my SECOND attempt to meet with you all and it is shot to hell! My wife's brother is graduating from college and the ceremony is sat, may 13. GAWD!

I will not be able to make the meet...unless the creek rises or he doesn't go through commencement (but he will!).

Have fun! And I will ABSOLUTELY be there for the F1 race July 1 (Sunday). I think I will have extra tickets for that race if anyone is interested. Once again, I am sorry to be the one to bail out.

Since this is the track, Feel free to bring along other people even if they have the misfortune to not own a ridgeline.we will just make them convoy in the back and not let them in our pictures.:p

I'm in for the day at the track, not sure about dinner though. My daughter graduates from College that Sunday so the inlaws may be in town that Saturday. I may have to spend Saturday evening with them.

We are still in. We will stay with you as long as the kids can handle it.

I was there race weekend last year just 2 weeks after getting my RL. Have a wedding to attend this year so won't be able to make the trip.

Just to see this year's Indy 500 Safety Vehicles going around the track, is worth the price of admission. ....and everyone knows that every Indy race car this year has a Honda engine, correct?

Our trip to New Castle was a devastating blow to the sponsorship pocket book and we are now in search of more sponsors to get to the next race in South Bend so, I will have to cut corners everywhere I can. I hope you understand Joe and the rest of you.

11:00AM Meet at McDonald's (37 and I-465 exit I think this is south of the airport)

11:30 AM- Head to 30th Street Gate at Indy 500 Track

I plan on taking a drive to the McD's at 11 anyways. We'll see who shows. You can bring the in-laws by if you want. Maybe we take some photos and exchange info.

Sorry, we won't be making it either. It's an hour + drive for us to that side of town & I'm sure it would be worth it to meet y'all, but I've got things I need to do around here this weekend if we go to Indy next weekend.

BTW-I've got the Winner's milk bottle - picked it up yesterday from my etcher & will deliver it to the client next week...of course in my Ridgeline.:)
