Installed my Yakima rack on Bed rails. Cut down a set of Rail tracks and installed them on the bed rails. Couple of screws into the bed wall and worked out pretty good. Just like putting them on a cap for a standard pick-up.

I've got a Thule rack, do you thing I would be able to do the same installation
as yours. Do you have some other picture of your installation that show how you attach it to the wall of the bed.

Thats one cool accesorry, how much did you spend for it and can you share the exact model no of bike rack you put in their. Is the OEM Honda roof bicycle rack compatible with the Yakima install?
How about wind noise, the wind noise on my Ridge with the bike rack on the roof is driving me nuts.I had to take it down and now my bike rack is in the shed.Hope having the bike rack at the bed portion would eliminate that wind noise.

I did almost the same rack install about the same time. I swear we were not talking to each other. My rack and all components came in at around $600 and absolutely no additional wind noise occurs due to the rack with fully loaded bikes. I do believe it cost me gas mileage however with the wind resistance not being too good, but because the bikes are in the back, the noise is already behind you. Hopefully my link below takes you to see how my rack came out.

Very cool install. Based on how you attached the rack, is it semi-permenant or is it fairly easy to remove if you had to throw something big in the bed?
