2006 Honda Ridgeline RTS: First-quarter update (http://www.autonews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/CW/20060410/FREE/60329011/1111)
A trouble-free first quarter with Honda’s truck

Excerpt:
As old man winter sputters his last gasp, the AutoWeek staff has gone soft and giddy in anticipation of warmer days. That might explain the change of heart that compelled one editor to say, “As alarming as this will no doubt sound, the Ridgeline’s appearance is actually growing on me.”

There are, however, still some Scrooges wandering our halls, one of whom notes, “The Ridgeline makes the Element look like a tour de force of pretty design.”

It appears our hearts haven’t melted completely, even if the Detroit snow has.

We’ve encountered no trouble with the Honda truck, save for annoying wind noise generated by the windshield header.

someone else on this forum was complaining about the same thing. i haven't driven with the stereo volume on less than 18 on the freeways and guess that's why i've never heard it myself.

has anyone else encountered this?

WHAT? HUH?? WAIT - LET ME TURN down my radio - ahhh - better.

Yes, I experience the same thing. Very noisy - particularly in cross-wind.

But what is the connection between the windshield heater and windshield noise?

Mine's quite quiet at highway speeds. Maybe 'cause mine was a later built unit.

Mine's quiet mostly because the Red Ridge was built to precision specs.

I echo RidgeLN remarks but what the heck, it's a truck!

I play my stereo loud, and I still hear the windshield whistle. Also, with the driver side window down, the side mirror makes on hell of a wind noise. Is this right?

I think the RL has very low noise on the highway. I had a Subaru before this and that piece of crap was like riding a motorcycle.

I looked at edmunds.com long term road test of the ridgeline and they had the same problem which can be fixed by the dealer. It is caused by a bad seal on the windshield.
