Any body use one and if so, any problems?

See if these links from the Warn Company offer any info. http://www.warn.com/truck/mounting-systems/winch_carrier.shtml http://www.warn.com/truck/mounting-systems/quick_connect_kit.shtml http://www.warn.com/truck/winches/src/95ti_multimount.shtml 25 Year Honda Owner 04-27-2006, 06:24 PM Not sure that I would want a winch on a $30K vehicle. Better to get and old Jeep, add the winch, and keep the RTL for use other than off road. Nawlens Gator 04-28-2006, 08:20 AM At our hunting camp we winch stuff like deer blinds, deer, hogs, etc.. A rear mount into the trailer hitch might be the way to go. rwwdel 04-28-2006, 09:25 AM I've been looking for a front mount receiver - not for a winch but for other stuff. I emailed Warn, and they said they hadn't done a winch mount for the Ridgeline because of the lack of strucutural support behind the front bumper. Don't know it that's accurate - but that's what they said. purdytj 02-17-2008, 08:20 PM I've been looking for a front mount receiver - not for a winch but for other stuff. Don't know it that's accurate - but that's what they said. I too, have been looking for a winch - especially a mount. I found a very reasonably priced "mile marker" 8000 pound winch at costco.com, but I'm struggling to figure out if it can be mounted to the front. I would like to have the 2" front receiver so I could put my hitch bike rack up there if towing something, but I can't find one yet. Could a winch be mounted to a bull bar? Costco.com also has a reasonably priced Steelcraft bull bar (for $289) (http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product.aspx?prodid=11126669&hierPath=3960*21248*56369*&whse=BC&topnav=&Browse=&lang=en-US) and I wonder if it would be structurally solid enough. Probably not... breakfastchef 02-17-2008, 08:28 PM I've been looking for a front mount receiver - not for a winch but for other stuff. Rear mount winch seems to be the only good option for the Ridgeline. spun07RTX 03-18-2008, 12:02 PM the only realistic option (currently) for using a winch on a ridgeline would be a multi-mount kit for the winch (5000 lb max) to be used in the trailer hitch receiver. the in-bed trunk would be the perfect place to store it too. winches are very usefull if you live in the country, and so are wenches for that matter ;) Mtnman 03-19-2008, 04:24 AM Nothing like a good serving wench. | |
