Anyone see the new RDX and MDX concept? It's here at vtec.net (http://www.vtec.net/news/news-item?news_item_id=540330). MDX to be released this fall? Time to trade in the TL. :)

Sounds like the MDX is moving up-market. I think you can forget about MDX's in the 40K range. It appears 50K will be more the norm.

My lease on our 03 TL is coming due in Aug and I still can't decide between the new TL, MDX or RDX.
It will be the wifes daily drive and she is more fond of the TL's and the balance it offers as far as performance, handling, size & mpg. I keep hearing rumors about the Type-S coming back also. We sure love our current one, not a single issue with it to date.
I do want to test drive the new RDX with the SH-AWD and Turbo 4 and see how it feels. Decisions, decisions, lifes tough.:D

Wait for the RDX in July. It's designed to take on the BMW 3 series, and it's blown the BMW away in all areas of performance and handling. It will be priced right below the TL. Your wife will love the power, handling and extra cargo space.;)

My only issue with it is the estimate mpg, considering it is a 4 banger and all.
The 1st question my wife asks me when I tell her about a new candidate is if it's a 6 cyl.

the turbo 4 in the RDX makes more torque than any other small luxury ute.
I am sure she won't miss the v6. BTW it's also got very competitive MPG in it's class.

I'll be very interested to see what happens with the RDX, I REALLY like it. I do want to give it some time w/ the turbo motor. I'm sure it will be up to Honda/Acura standards... I'm just a little leary of it right out of the gate. Anyways wait a little while and I'll be able to get a better price:)

I understand "in its class" but the TL would still have higher mpg overall.
Her other issue is a result of having had an Explorer during all its bad press. She does not want anything that "sits high and could tip over". That's her perception of all SUV's, even with my great selling abilities she is a hard sell.
I guess I could tell her its a new type of 8 cyl that they only count half of and just keep my fingers crossed when I tell it to her.
Its not like she would ever look under the hood anyways.;)

What I need in a SUV is a reliable fuel-efficient 4 seater. Honda Pilot FWD fits the bill.

I am not sure if I need super handling luxury when I drive long distance and hauling people and stuff from point A to point B.

But if the price difference between 2007 MDX and Pilot is $5000, I would go for the MDX. More than $10k, no way.

Sounds about right, but I think a $10k jump won't be in their best interest. They might mark it up by $5k.
