For us campers any particular site recomendations??
Rhett our Golden would have to go on a serious weight loss program to make the hotel requirement.
I think I will be putting in our reservations at the following....
Alum Creek State Park
3615 S. Old State Road
Delaware, OH 43015
(740) 548-4631
1-866-644-6727 for camping and getaway rental reservations

:)
T Mac 05-06-2006, 11:31 AM I think Alum is the place that is not far from Frank's place or the hotel but I'll let Frank confirm.
ridgeln 05-06-2006, 12:07 PM Alum Creek isn't far from the hotel (10-15 min) - sorry, didn't look at the "weight limit" of the dogs.

ken..that's awesome. Welcome to the ROC family. What a way to meet a great bunch of people. I don't drink beer, but if you don't mind me bringing along a Green Apple Smirnoff, we'll be there. :D
Boy...everytime I see another confirmation I get more and more excited. This is going to be sooooooooooooo cool. :D

paidoffridgeline 05-23-2006, 07:15 AM I want to go too, But I think gas would kill me after pulling my new 27' camper there. I think this summer we'll be sticking close by. BTW how far away is this park?

I think you're looking at around 10 hours. Not bad at all.
AND...if you are concerned about gas, may I be so bold as to suggest a tent? That's what we're doing. :)
Air matress, here I come.
And just an idea for anyone, Walmart has a tent in a bag type of thing which includes tent that sleeps 4, 2 sleeping bags, 2 chairs, a flashlight, and a few other things for under $100.00. If we didn't already have all of that we would have jumped on it. It looks like quite a nice set up.:D
paidoffridgeline 05-23-2006, 12:20 PM I would have to bring the camper, it would just seem like such a waste to spend 19000.00 on something and not be able to use it. maybe I'll sell a kid or two for gas money.;)

Well..you just HAVE to come.
I have 5 kids, you can have a few of them to sell for gas!! :D

I don't mean to sound like a smart butt...paidoffridgeline, you have a $30k truck, a $19k camper, and you're worried about maybe a couple hundred dollars worth of gas?
I saw you live in Wi......well I can see time being a factor, but gas money??
paidoffridgeline 05-24-2006, 06:20 AM I'm a baller on a budget. I had to save alot of dollars for my wedding this weekend, It really hurt my pockets.

As soon as I can pry my foot out of my mouth, I'd like to say congrats to you and your Bride!
With that said, Like I told Ladyridge...I think I was out of line. She sent me a
private message after my post, asking if I was signed up. I'm not as of yet. I need to convince my Bride to celebrate our 28th anniversary at the ROC meet.
What size is the new Camper? I'm sure it is a beauty, but costly to tow.

Congrats POR...why didn't you tell us. :( You know, family should know these things so we can all wish you well.
AND....
Just my 2 cents here, if you don't mind.
I just want to say that I am sure RRider was not trying to be hurtful, just expressing himself. That's what we all do here. Keep in mind how hard it is to be constructive with letters rather than words and facial expressions. :)
paidoffridgeline 05-24-2006, 08:52 AM No harm, No foul. I'm not offended at all. I really wish I could go though. I'd love to meet all of you nice people. I'll post pics of my trailer soon.

paidoffridgeline 05-31-2006, 12:19 PM whats your price range truckeye, and what, where is the job that you're relocating to. I live on the south side of milwaukee, near lake michigan and commute to the north side of milwaukee once in a while for work and it takes me about 40 minutes if that helps. otherwise the brookfeild / waukesha / pewaukee area isn't bad if you work in milwaukee.
Truckeye 06-01-2006, 07:31 AM pm sent, hijack over.
thanks paidoff that info helps and congrats on the big day!
