Any other midwest RL owners going to the Sheboygan Brat Festival Aug 3-5, 2006? I am going with my wife and mom, arriving Fri Morning. I am not bringing my RL (too many miles already, I need to save the miles for my commute.) I am renting a Ford Explorer again, I was happy with the Explorer on my trip to Florida in Nov.

I hear The Violent Femmes are headlining Sat night, that should be interesting. I only plan on seeing one other concert this summer, Widespread Panic @ the Chicago Theatre. I was going to see a simulcast concert by Widespread that was showing at Imax theatres last week, but I was sick last Tues.

As a person who saw the GRateful Dead 25 times in 3 years, and Bob Dylan many times, I really miss going to concerts, but there are few bands/performers I would be willing to shell out the $$ to go see..

Another year, another Sheboygen Jaycees Brat Days is upon us.

I am heading up again this year but only for one day. Saturday, August 4th 2007. I am looking forward to seeing the brat eating contest, chowing some fine Johnsonville brats, and drinking alot of cold beer.

I am renting a vehicle again, I just dont want to run up any more miles than I have to on the RL.

Jim,
With 81,000 miles in 18 months, I guess I just don't understand what the big deal is, regarding driving the RL. Are you just looking for a change of pace?

I was just up in Sheboygan for the 4th. While you’re up there, don't for get the curds. There's a cheese factory in SW Sheboygan County that has a special fresh curd day the first Saturday of every month.

Between the brats and the curds, you can almost feel your arteries plugging up, so remember beer must be drank when eating brats or curds to prevent clogged arteries. :D

djw,

I have to try to postpone the 150,000 mile mark as long as I can. I am trading the RL @ 150,000 no matter what. So thats the reason I want to save on the miles as much as I can. That and I need an suv to lug myslef, my mom, my wife, the baby, and her heavier duty non-foldable stroller a little easier.

All this great stuff going on when I'm on vacation. I'd drive for brats and beer but the family would veto that. :)

Sorry, can't make Sheboygan. Gott work and the time to commute wouldn't work out. Now if it was Cheboygan.....
