Anyone heard of xm navtraffic?
http://www.xmradio.com/xmnavtraffic/index.jsp
I have the Ridgeline with Navi and I would hate to have to rip out the OEM nav system just to get navtraffic. I REALLY like the feature considering I live in a city with the 5th worst traffic in the nation. (Seattle) In fact - I am thinking that I am just going to have to live with the the Honda OEM Nav system being an inferior product.

They should be able to add support for that with an update on DVD. The page states its available on the 2005 Acura RL so Honda already has the development done.
I believe its a hardware solution, dont think the dvd will help. A Garmin 2730 will though :)

The NavTraffic in the RL is a joint venture. THE NAV IS COMPLETELY DIFFERENT than every other nav system in Honda's and Acura's. It is not just a DVD. All the new models that Acura is coming out with, RDX and the New MDX will have the system, but there is not an option to change it to it. If you want this feature, you would have to go completely aftermarket. :(

Xm has it for my aftermarket nav system which is an Alpine nve-n872a. Also you can get the same from sirius. Which is what I like best.

I was looking at collegehillshondaparts at the XM unit for the Ridgeline. It's part# 39820-SJC-A01 and $203.59. The equivalent for the NavTraffic equipped Acura RL is part# 39820-SJA-A05 and $2299.42 at acuraoemparts.com. They look very similar from the sketch. Maybe the 10x price difference is a typo.
