Honda Ridgeline: One Size Fits Plenty (http://www.courant.com/business/hc-0527ridgeline.artmay27,0,1327003.story?coll=hc-headlines-business)

The Honda Ridgeline is listed as a large pickup, but I think huge is a better word, especially because it comes from a company that has spent a lot of time designing and producing cars much smaller.

That review makes it sound like the Ridgeline is gigantic but sometimes when I'm driving it I feel like it is a small car the way it zips around so easily. :)

No mention of the trunk in the bed. Did he even know about this unique feature?

From a Ridgeline owner's perspective, any positive article about our beloved vehicle should be welcome. However this guy's review is just plain silly. Some of his statements are over the top as far as I'm concerned, and others are just plain false: The Honda Ridgeline is listed as a large pickup, but I think huge is a better word . . . With a curb weight of 4,498 pounds, the Ridgeline must upset the trade balance between the United States and Canada, where the truck is built, and affect the earth's magnetic field with that amount of metal . . . you are forced to choose parking spaces quite carefully . . . The engine sounds as massive as the truck itself . . . Although lesser pickups and ordinary cars will naturally scramble to get out of the way of this very large pickup . . . And that's not all of them! I don't think a review full of such exaggeration and nonsense does anything to give the Ridgeline credibility as a true pickup. Take a look below. Huge? I think not. Now the one next to mine . . . that's huge.

Honda does provide one of the easiest horns on the market to use.

Yes, you have to love that easy horn use. It's one of the reasons I bought my RL. The Horn on my last vehicle was so difficult to use. This guy is an idiot.

"The engine sounds as massive as the truck itself ..."
The above quote makes one wonder if the reviewer was really reviewing a Ridgeline. When I arrived at my dealers for a test drive he said he would go out and pull one in front. He did, and when I got into the drivers seat I had to ask him if it was running!! It was so quiet I couldn't tell. That impressed me because my previous vehicles were much louder. I do admit however, that when I have the back window open and step on the gas I definitely hear a satisfying sound as I accellerate.

The following review is very good.
Honda Ridgeline - international truck of the year! (http://www.theautochannel.com/news/2006/05/31/009222.html)

The reviewer says:
On the freeway we have plenty of power to keep up and excellent visibility all around – a very pleasant truck to drive.
which is what we have been saying here all along. The Ridgeline is fun to drive!:D

Yeah, I don't know what that clown is talking about. My Ridge idles so quiet it's hard to tell it's running. Even when accelerating, it's doesn't rumble anywhere near as loud as trucks with V8s.

I think he just wrote the article without driving the truck. He points out thing the truck doesn't have and misses some of the things we love about the truck.

I don't know, he might have driven it. He's right about the horn, it is very easy to use. How would he know that unless he had driven it? :D

Well, I have to kinda agree with that guy, being in Germany, the Ridgeline is just about the largest and loudest vehicle on the Autobahn over here, with the exception of the big rigs and other American Trucks rolling around over here. LOL

BUT:

On the other hand, comparing the Ridgeline to a half or three quarter ton American truck, The ridgeline is not huge and loud.
