Also, your manual has an explanation of all the codes. It's towards the back of the manual.

From Owner's Link:

Maintenance Minder B Scheduled Maintenance

Replace engine oil and oil filter
Rotate tires
Inspect front and rear brakes
Check parking brake adjustment
Inspect tie rod ends, steering gear box, and boots
Inspect suspension components
Inspect driveshaft boots
Inspect brake hoses and lines (including ABS)
Inspect all fluid levels and condition of fluids
Inspect exhaust system#
Inspect fuel lines and connections#
#: See information on maintenance and emissions warranty in the first column on page 230.Independent of the maintenance messages in the information display, replace the brake fluid every 3 years.

Inspect idle speed every 160,000 miles (256,000 km).

Adjust the valves during services A, B, 1, 2, or 3 if they are noisy.

Maintenance Minder 6 Scheduled Maintenance
Recommended service for your 2006 Honda Ridgeline:

Replace VTM-4 rear differential fluid: Driving in mountainous areas at very low vehicle speeds or trailer towing results in higher level of mechanical (shear) stress to fluid or frequently fully loaded. This requires differential fluid changes more frequently than recommended by the Maintenance Minder. If you regularly drive your vehicle under these conditions, have the differential fluid changed at 7,500 miles (12,000 km), then every 15,000 miles (24,000 km).

thanks for the replies, I took it in yesterday and they fixxed it. I guess I needed the rear trans case fluid changed but they said that could wait until 15,000 miles, and they reset the dummy light.

did my B-6 w/VTM-4 change @ aprox. 14,000 miles, 2nd oil change. In and out in about an hour.

Other than rotating tires I follow the recommendation of the MM.

Our "stealer" convinced my wife that we needed the equivalent of the B-6 (he called it the 10,000 maintenance) which included the rear axle fluid change and tire rotation, cleaning the brakes (haha), checking and lubing throughout, besides the oil and filter change, to the tune of $175.00. This was even though the mileage minder stated we had 20% remaining oil life before the 2nd oil change.
Oh well.

never ever let an unsuspecting female go to the dealer alone, Most will take advantage of them. They will go for an oil change and come back with a new car. No offence to the cautious women out there.
