I found a company in SoCal that carries the aFe cold air intake for the RL. It's not just another tube with a filter on it. It retains the stock cold air intake and some other factory ducting but replaces the air box and filter assembly. They say a conical air filter flows better than the stock flat rectangle. They utilize a washable and reusable filter element. Take a look at this link for more info: http://www.afefilters.com/54-10911.asp

The dealer is offering the following pricing:

1) If we purchase (5-9) the price is $195 with free freight
2) If we purchase (10+) the price is $185 with free freight

Please let me know who is interested and I will help arrange the purchase with the dealer.

I wrote aFe in Corona and they say that CARB approval is pending. Other states are already OK.

Interesting... Anyone got any dyno results besides "52% increase in CFM!"?

I will contact aFe and ask for dyno sheets. There's nothing posted on their site.

Why wait on a group deal? I bought mine from realtruck.com for $173.93 with free shipping. They're listed at $189.05 right now on their web site (http://www.realtruck.com/ordering/e_scart.php), but do some googling and you'll probably come up with a 5% off coupon code you can enter at checkout. This is an awesome CAI kit, by the way - haven't noticed any increase in gas mileage, but my foot's always deep in it just so I can hear the roar. :D

You're right. When I Googled the aFe number, it came up with Amazon.com. The dealer is still realtruck.com and the price is $173.93 with free freight. If you go directly to the realtruck website, the price is higher like you said. I will email the dealer that I found earlier to see if he wants to beat this deal. Thanks for the heads up groupset.

That raises a good question - seeing as how all 4 wheels on the RL are driven, how would you dyno it?

Ahhh...OK, thanks! I'd only seen the 2-wheel variety.

I just got an email reply from realtruck.com regarding our request for a group buy on the aFe intake. They have a special discount for ROC members that takes 10% off. They do not want the discount code posted so PM me if anyone wants the code and contact information. The orders must be called into a specific person in order to get the discount.

I just ordered my afe unit and it was $189.05 less our 10% group discount. The special person mentioned in a previous message in this thread does not work there anymore but no problem with the order. I also ordered a cleaning kit for the unit an gor 10% off on it too. No tax or shippping cost.

Brent, how do you like your intake? Is the intake sound loud or not too bad? How is it a freeway speeds? I think I'm ready to buy now so I just wanted to get your feelings after having it a few weeks. Thanks for the info.

I would really like to see this intake installed in a ridgeline! I love how it retains the factory cold air intake...is this the RAM AIR part that has ducting right along the edge under the hood?? Dyno sheets and a few pictures would make me a customer especially if gas mileage gains are noticed!!!
