Hi All,
I have read some threads and searched the internet and am a bit confused. Is there one tailgate lock out there that appears to stand above the rest as far as it works and not to bad to install?
Thanks in advance

Mike

I know of only two units available:

www.basickoncepts.com
www.dynalock.com

Rumor has it the DynaLock units is a rip-off of the original BasicKoncepts design.

I installed the manual Basickoncepts gate lock. No problems, works fine.....

Installing a door lock is not a big deal. I've installed actuators in my old Civic and now, my 84 Accord - trunk release, too. The actuators can be purchased for 10 bucks or so each - quality ones will cost more. Two wires to hook up. Fabricate whatever brakets you need to make it work. Maybe I should patent my remote trunk release install on the Accord........... no.

Dynolock did not rip off anything. It's like Paul Newman saying he invented the salad dressing. There's only so many ways you can install a tailgate lock.

Also, isn't it http://www.dynolock.com and not dynalock?
