After first test driving the Honda Ridgeline two weeks ago, I decided it was a great fit for my needs for a new vehicle. That night, I got online and found this forum. Since then, I have learned a great deal about the vehicle ... its problems, its values, and the many many things that can make it even more special to its owners. So, thank you for having such a great board and contributing to it the way each of you do.

I am going to pick up my new Ridgeline this Saturday, and no I am not concerned with the '06 vs '07 wait debate. What concerns me the most about my purchase is that I am paying over $30k for a vehicle with some of the most hideous wheels on the market. They must be replaced as soon as possible.

I have scoured this website looking at many of your vehicles, and specifically, which wheels you chose for your Ridgeline. I have narrowed my selection down to three wheels and I was hoping to get some feedback and any personal experiences with these brands: Falken, TSW, OZ.

Falken
10091

TSW
10092

OZ
10093

I do not have any experience with any of these three manufacturers, so if they have a bad reputation or are considered low quality wheels, please let me know.

Shacke

Here is my 2 cents: Falken makes a tremendous tire and recently has seen the $$$ signs in the wheel industry and now wants a piece of the pie. TSW has been around forever and makes a great product. I don't know anything about OZ. I'm partial to this set-up: ALT 326 "Wraith" 19 x 8

What ever you choose be sure to post pics...Welcome to the club.

Both OZ and TSW have good reputations - OZ probably more so. They're big into racing wheels and tend to be lightweight.
I agree about the stock wheels, but here's my beef with most aftermarket: So many of them are 'Simulated 3-piece'. Bugs me to no end. Like putting an 'M' badge on a regular BMW or 'AMG' on an MB. Fake, fake, fake...
So, I like the TSW's the best out of those - mainly becasue they don't try to look like 3-pc.

I agree with you ScottIN. The Falkens are almost a bit too much for me as are most of the other aftermarket wheels, but I like the OZs and the TSWs. The picture of Stone's Ridgeline on the

thread is what got me thinking about them. It looks like he has BBS wheels on his, but that is a little out of my price range.

Welcome, shacke. Congratulations on choosing a Ridgeline. You're going to be smiling for a long time to come. :D

This is the place to learn about the RL and to get inspiration and advice about things you might want to add. There are some remarkable people on the ROC who are willing to share their knowledge.

Be sure to tell us more about your RL and post photos.

Of these, I think the OZ's look a lot easier to clean. I don't really like spending a lot of time cleaning rims.

I'd go for the Falken or TSW because I like the "lip" look. Enjoy your new truck and be sure to post pics!

One thing about this site, there is not a lack of opinions :) What will really affect your choices is size you desire.

+ I think the Falkens would not be a good match. They look too much like the old Mitsubishi Eclipse turbo wheels.

+ the TSW looks good, and yes, you will hate cleaning them.

+ I prefer the 5 spoke look, so OZ is my choice. Plus it looks "tougher" then the TSW.

+ I do like the "SEMA" wheels (ALT 326 "Wraith") as well

Acura MDX wheels?
Acura RL...bolt right on and .5 inches wider so no changes in ride, etc. Price is not bad on the pocket. Around $250 to $400 for the set some with tires included. With the wheels I received a set of tires which will fit another car I own. So I am ahead of the game dollar wise and that is a first for me.:D

did you try to exchange the center cap to get the Honda cap in there? Looks like it would fit, that is if the Acura center does come out.

Those look like Acura RL wheels. MDX has different bolt pattern (5-115) than the RL and the Ridgeline (5-120). Be careful to get the right fit before you pull the trigger

I am probably not going to be very helpful, but I think the stock aluminum rims look awesome on the truck.

Also, do not buy low profile tires unless you want the risk of splitting your tires on pot holes etc. They may look nice but is sucks when you have to replace good tires. It also may be dangerous at higher speeds as the chance of a blow out increases too.

My two cents.

RidgeLIPlus the ride is different, a harsher ride but more responsive.

I'm also not thrilled with the look of the painted OE wheels (the "chrome-look" options are ridiculously expensive) and am seriously considering going after-market. However, I'm really thinking about white wheels as am going for an overall white with black accents look for my new RTL.

Does anyone have any opinions or suggestions on after-market white wheels (stock size, not interested in doing any +1 or +2 upgrades). One option that I've considered is purchasing another set of OE wheels and having them sand-blasted and powder-coated in white to match the truck.
