Ok, was searching and reading all I could about audio upgrades and amps oh my.
Anyway.
Does the 6 disc changer in the RTL have any RCA outputs that could be used to feed into a AMP for a subwoofer?
If not, what is the best way to add a amp/subwoofer?

Best or easiest?
If it were me and I had to keep the stock head unit, I would get the cleanest quality amp with speaker level input capability and go that route.

Is there really a problem with standard line converters as far as being noisy, or are there some that anyone has used that work well with the stock HU.
Or is everyone getting an active one, like the Audio Control or Clean Sweep?

I read that the problem with cheap standard line converters is a loss of bass response. The cheap line converters use cheap transformers that don't have flat response.
I agree with the recommendation to buy an amplifier with speaker level inputs. Otherwise buy good line level converters (maybe Scosche?).
Oh - just to be clear - the RTL 6 disc changer does NOT have RCA outputs. I removed mine and it has no RCA outputs.

A good quality line output converter would be one from these people. Almost audiophile grade line converters.

To answer your question, no.
I recommend an amp or power sub with speaker level connections. Most modern amps have this option. This will make it easy because you can connect to the Ridgelines existing subwoofer wiring. Also get a amp or powered sub with a remote. This way you can install some or all of the gear behind the rear seats and still have some control over phase, gain, and cutoff.
Check out my post (http://www.ridgelineownersclub.com/forums/showpost.php?p=95588&postcount=54) for a powered sub example. Follow the links in my post for more examples and inspiration. :D

Yeah speaker level inputs and a remote to control the amount of bass because some songs have differant bass. I edited my original post, thanks for catching that.
