2007 Changes...

Here's the only thing Honda lists as changed for 2007 (other than the new model). This is per TSB 06-032:

NEW MODEL INFORMATION
Front Passenger’s Weight Sensors
For the 2007 Ridgeline, the front passenger’s seat has
weight sensors to detect the weight on the seat. The
weight sensors are part of the SRS (supplementary
restraint system). If the weight on the seat is about 65
pounds or less, the ODS (occupant detection system)
unit sends this information to the SRS unit to prevent
the front passenger’s airbag from deploying. When the
front passenger’s airbag is disabled, the passenger’s
airbag cutoff indicator on the center panel comes on to
alert the driver that the front passenger’ airbag will not
deploy in a front-end collision.
The ODS unit combines the functions of the OPDS
(occupant position detection system) unit and the seat
weight sensor unit, which have been used on many
other Honda models.

Driver’s Seat Position Sensor
The driver’s seat position sensor is under the driver’s
seat on the left side, and it is part of the SRS. When the
driver’s seat is moved to its full-forward position, the
deployment of the driver’s airbag is moderated to
decrease its force of impact during a front-end collision.

I did a comparison between the 07 and the 06.
more differences are...
Fold-Down Second Row Center Armrest (doesn't the 06 have this?)
the height is 71.2 (07) and 70.3 (06)
passenger volume is 108.9 (07) and 112.0 (06)
headroom front 38.7 (07) and 40.7 (06) {because of the sunroof?}

And that's all I found...

Not too many changes. Glad I bought and didn't wait!! :p

I notice the prices of the '06s are a lot less than I paid now that the '07s are here.

By the way, the New Model Information in the PDI service bulletins is written for the technicians. It generally only includes new model information that is important to the techs (in this case, the SRS is different). For example, the horsepower could increase, but that doesn't affect the service information the techs need to know. Even if the hp increase was a result of new PCM programming, a new airbox, or a new muffler, it wouldn't likely be included in the New Model Information. Much of that information is left to the sales brochures (although the brochures would just show the new hp rating).

Well, those who did wait should jump on the deals that they can get on the 2006s that are being cleared out to make room for the 2007s.

This doesn't appear to be new. My '06 RT was demonstrating this on a run from Texas to Michigan and back, when my wife or my younger son would shift their weight and lean against the door I would constantly get the passenger side airbag disabled warning.

As soon as they sat straight up in the seat the warning would go away.

BTW 22.5 MPG @ 75 MPH was the best I did.

Hey, the most important added feature of the is the driver now has a lighted vanity mirror..... now the question is how many of you will get one and wire it up in your 2006. ...ha:rolleyes:

That is normal for the 2006 model.... all do it... the 2007 will in addition check for the weight on the seat.
The disable warning is so the side curtain bag does not knock you out if your leaning on the door.

I totally agree....in fact if they had added the memory seats/mirrors and the telescoping steering wheel I may have actually considered looking into upgrading to a 2007!

While I know the BODY hasn't changed any for 2007, what about the Interior? Wondering if the dash kits we sell will still fi a 2007? I'm pretty sure nothing else has changed for those areas?

tlaudio

2006 & 2007 same dash.

IIRC, there are only 2 interior changes:

Added driver side vanity mirror
Black exterior now gets gray interior colors (was tan)

(Plus, weight sensor under passenger seat to deactivate pass. air bag)

So, I think you will have no issues with 2006 interior parts on a 2007......

I'm surprised there are so few changes 2006->2007. The RTX package looks like a nice step above the RT.

I have 29K now on my '06 RTL/SR. It rattles, it squeaks, the struts clunk, and the bed is all scratched, but it's still the best damn truck I've ever owned. I built a deck with it, towed a tandem axle trailer through the Berkshires in a whiteout blizzard, took 5,000 pounds of building scrap to the trash to energy plant, all without a single complaint, and in comfort and style. In a few weeks she'll be up in New Hampshire for NASCAR tailgate duty. My wife's Pilot is paid off, and I have about 3.5 years left to pay on the truck, so for the forseeable future, we're a two-Honda, one-payment family.

Yo to all the old-timers on ridgelineownersclub.com.

It appears the 2007 Ridge has the honeycomb grill as standard. This was an option on the 2006 models. I like the looks of the Honeycomb better.

I don't know who or where you got this info from.
I find all the items you show as differences, were same for both years.

Same as the '07, probably. It is not a full-size spare, but a full-size spare will fit in the trunk.

The 06 has a T 165/90 R17 sized spare tire. But, as AmazonRidge said, a full size spare will fit in the tray. I found a new take off wheel on EBay and got a matching OEM Michelin LTX M/S tire for my spare.
