I take my Ridge on the beach to go surfing and we are allowed to drive on the beach here. The speed limit is only 10 and seat belts are not required on the beach.

It is annoying when driving on the beach and not using the belt to have the nice peaceful beachside drive get "dinged" on every 20 or 30 seconds.

My friend suggested buying a belt from a wrecked honda and cutting all the matieral off and clicking it in the buckle to shut it off when on the beach.

Does anyone know if the dealer or somone can shut the nag noise off?

Thanks!
JT

Anything is possible. Just put an in-line switch to the buzzer or somewhere in the circuit. I think the buckle into the receptacle is a better idea. Cheap and quick, plus it will also get rid of the warning light on the instrument panel. Also, I'm not sure if the black box in the RL keeps track of the seat belt not being done up.

For the buckle piece, visit your local wrecker.

As for the dealer turning off the nag noise, they are not allowed to do that by law. In fact, nobody that is a certified mechanic will do that.
