This thread should be a Sticky!

It really shows how capable the RL is in REAL 4WD world!
Looks like it is the ONLY 100% stock truck out there!

Absolutely amazing pics!

Great shots!!! And in some real good off road comapny too... That's a great way to show it. The Ridge in there with all those "Real Trucks"...

But I would NEVER, take my Ridgeline anywhere that looked like that!
Oh that poor truck doesn't belong in all that dirt and mud. I hope you cleaned it right away !! :p

The good news is it does look like the Silver is BY FAR, the toughest color !!!!

Awesome, truly awesome!!!!!!! I'm so excited sitting here right now!!!! After hearing crap from the naysayers, my fears are now completely erased. I wass going to give my truck it's first off road test drive yesterday, but ran out of time. My route was no where that extreme. Now I know it'll do fine. TOMEK you da man!!!! :D

Just a few questions. First, do you have any suspension mods? How was the reception from the other people when you went? Have you noticed any problems since you took those pics? Is there anything you would do to make your ridge MORE off-road capable?
I know the questions might sound dumb, sorry.
BTW, that looks awesome and totally fun. Thank you for posting the pics and getting out there with the big boys.

I wanna know how many 4x4 chicks he picked up out there. After all he was probably the only one with XM and Heated Leather seats that could fit 5 and a trunk full of beverages. :D

Nice shots....i especially like the last first batch of pics where the RL is in knee deep of water and mud and you see two heads sticking out:D .
Great shots how our RL can handle off road. would you consider this medium grade off roading or too Extream for an RL off roading?

Great pics! I have to wonder though, especially after seeing the TSB on water getting in the rear diff if submerged in water, what the effects of the deep mud will have on the truck in the long term. Sounds like submerging the diff the way you did could cause a problem with water getting in the diff and contaminating the VTM fluid.

awsome !!

What were you thinking as you heads were turned and looking outside the window - are we stuck? Did you get stuck? ;)

do tell how the Jeepers Creapers guys faired after that nice display of hidden talent ~ the Honda way!!

TOMEK,

Those are by far the BEST Ridgeline pictures on this forum to date, Truly AWESOME!! I put all these pictures in a collage that is now my desktop background! Who has that other Ridgeline in the picture? How did the Ridgeline handle itself out there? Did you get stuck at all? I live in upstate NY and I drove my truck down the power lines a couple times but it is after all a brand new $30,000 truck so I avoided any mud pits or anything severe. I am all about off roading I think its awesome its just I want to keep the ridge looking perfect for awhile. I got some scratches from off roading and just having brush scrape on the side of the truck and that made me sad enough. Maybe when the truck is several years old I would try something like that. I am only 22 years old and my girl friend and I share this as our only vehicle so I unfortunatly cant afford to take the truck through that but I truly envy you. I bet you had a great time cleaning the under carriage. Let us know if you have any strut problems as I have read on here about and I am concerned about.

AWESOME PICTURES!!!!!! Let us know how the truck was and any damadge you find after getting her all cleaned up and back on the pavement!

Way to prove to all those "Real truck" guys what our HONDA RIDGELINE can do!:D :) :p ;)

Those are some definately hot pictures. I wish I knew of somewhere around me like that, I don't know if I'd want to go that extreme first time out, but, wow. As someone said previously, I don't see any other stock trucks out there.

I have had my VTM-4 fluid changed after having had my diff totally submerged multiple times and the dealer never mentioned any water contamination in my fluid. It would seem like it would have been obvious if there was water in it.
Has anyone had a confirmation of water in their fluid to date?

Well, I guess that answers the question. The RL is truely an off road beast. Those are great pics. No body wrinckles:eek: I can see brich's eyes popping out of his head. He carries around his detail kit in his trunk for the those unexpected bird droppings and bug guts. :D
Soory brich I had too:D

I do have to say, those are some good pics. The pipeline in Mountain Wisconsin is a good place to wheel. Kindof suprised I didn't see you there. I am all over and ther every year. Give ya credit for wheeling that machine there.

Amazing. You have some major cajones my friend. Takes some real guts to approach a bunch of strangers with 4X4s and not even blink.

I'm not really the offroad type, but the Wife and have been discussing going camping.. now I know I have nothing to worry about as far as the Ridge being able to handle trails, tall grass and puddles.. lol.

She sure was the prettiest one at the dance too!

Thumbs WAY up!

Ridge just took a major step forward credit wise.

the good thing about these pics is the fact that they exist. Honda starts to notice that their trucks are being used off road (probably in harsher situations that it was designed for).

Next time Honda may snag few guys from Land Rover, Jeep, Toyota, or GM and make a no excuses off road truck with the same benefits as the car-based chassis.

Imagine having the capability of a Tacoma, with the ride and handling of an Accord. No reason to buy a body on frame truck after that.

A company that makes such amazing ATVS should make a truck that can handle anything thrown in its path.

I don't think thats a problem. I have been inside of a Pilot during flash floods in Louisiana (maybe a foot of water). We were trying to hit the puddles hard and make a big splash. I have actually driven my Trailblazer through water levels reaching the top of the front bumper (around 2') and had no problems with either truck. Flash floods happen.

Its hard to believe they would design a truck that couldn't take a little water. I wouldn't worry.
