I want to buy a 2007 Ridgeline RTL Navi and live in a northern suburb of Dallas. Has anyone found a dealer within 150 miles or so that is willing to cut to the chase and give me a good deal? I don't see getting more than $3000-$3500 off list at this time. But so far no dealers in my area have 07's, and don't want to deal on anything but their stock 06's. I would even go to Oklahoma if need be. Help appreciated!

We just had an amazing experience at Gunn Honda in San Antonio. Sorry, a little further than 150 miles, but we drove there from Austin and very easy transaction. Got a 2006 RTL no nav or SR for $25,378. They are a one price dealership and well worth the drive for us, the closest I could find locally was roughly $2k more.
We dealt with :

Not sure what they have in the way of 2007s, but you may want to check what they have listed on they web site, and then email Mike and ask him what the best price is, which will be less than the price shown on the web site.
They even found us a great 5.6% interest rate for 60 months!

Order direct from carsdirect.com , then take the order to a local dealer. He will probably try to fight, but let him know that the order is in and you have a firm price. There is no obligation for pressing the order button on carsdirect.

This is just a lead generation tool - dealers don't have to accept the offer.
Be curteous, cordial, state you offer clearly. If the sales manager needs the deal, he/she will take it.

Three months ago, I had a good experience with Jeremey Zachary at John Eagle Honda on Lemmon Ave.

Oops,
In California, you can buy direct from Carsdirect. That is not the same in Texas, as I just put in the zipcode for Austin. In California, the price is guaranteed, although you may need to travel a 100 or so miles for the deal.
If you put in 95841, my zipcode, in Carsdirect, you will see a button that allows you to "Buy from Carsdirect."
All I can say for you in Texas...."Bummer Dude." :D
This is the statement from Carsdirect for California buyers:
CarsDirect New Car
Low Price Guarantee
We leverage the buying power of tens of thousands of new car buyers with the dealers in our dealer network to bring you the best deals possible on new cars and trucks. And we back up our already low prices with the following guarantee:
If, within three days after purchasing a vehicle from CarsDirect, you find a lower price for the same vehicle identically equipped, CarsDirect will refund the difference between the price you paid and the advertised or other dealer's price. Or, at its discretion, CarsDirect will repurchase your vehicle. This guarantee is for vehicles purchased directly through CarsDirect and is not applicable to vehicles purchased through our VIP Dealer referral network.
To take advantage of this New Car Low Price Guarantee, see Terms and Conditions of this offer.
If you have questions about the CarsDirect Price Guarantee, feel free to ask your Vehicle Specialist about it after submitting an order.
We appreciate your business.

I flew from New Orleans to Houston to buy my RTL-S/R w XM because no one in LA wanted to deal. I saved several thousand, the plane trip cost $120. They (John Eagle Honda) picked me up at airport. I spent 1 1/2 hrs at the dealer then drove 5hrs home. Nice ride.
Told the guy on the phone Thursday the lowest price (it was from another Houston dealer) and he called me back in 5 min with a counter offer I couldn't refuse. The deal included a ton of accessories for way lower than any one else also. I said OK on Thurs afternoon and they had the car ready Sat morning as promised. One good thing was they had more in vehicles and accessories in stock than all others. This was in Jan '06. I would suggest calling them with your lowest offer and ask if they can beat it.

Thanks for the help everyone. I ended up buying from Bankston in Lewisville. They gave me a pretty good deal on a '07 RTL/Nav in Dark Cherry red. I'm picking it up on Saturday.
One word of warning...I had a really bad experience with John Eagle Honda on Lemmon Avenue in Dallas. They quoted a deal via email from an internet build your own/quote from the Honda web sight, which I accepted and confirmed by email. When I arrived to sign the papers the salesman said that he thought that the towing package, which was one of the accessories in the deal, was included with the RTL. So they then tried to get me for $700 more. They offered no reasonable compromise and I walked. Manager would do nothing but say that the salesman made a mistake and they were not going to eat the towing package. Have a nice day!
