Where did you get the parts? TskTsk1 07-07-2006, 07:26 AM Very Nice. I Think It Would Work Well With My RETRAX Bed Cover. Fill Us In On Were To Get These Parts. Truckin' 07-07-2006, 09:58 PM Very cool idea. Ours has just the slightest amount of play and I'm guessing yours holds tight with the snap mechanism. Are you going to tell us where to get the parts or start selling these? LouisB 07-18-2006, 03:00 PM ^^^^^ Would like to know where you got the parts. Thanks, jd144 07-18-2006, 04:42 PM Looks like Home Depot or Lowes ChrisM 07-18-2006, 06:34 PM I'm kind of on the fence about doing the lock like that. I made an electric lock something like Swishman (Basickoncepts) sells. Total cost was less than $10 and it is much more sturdy. LouisB 07-18-2006, 10:35 PM The only thing that I am worried about with the electric and manual locks that are inside the tailgate is that there have been a lot of posting stating that if someone was to pull the handle hard enough they could bend the mechanism inside and jam the lock shut. Have you found a way around this? TskTsk1 08-18-2006, 03:54 PM Has anyone been able to locate a snap latch like the one pictured? Have you found a way around this? Trust me, you can't bend the electric lock I made. | |
