shorty 07-03-2006, 01:29 PM Anyone going to the first annual out in Columbus OH? I have registered and waiting to roll at the end of the month.
sure would be nice if we could convoy up!!!!:)
I live in Crofton Md.
RTL two weeks old and wanting to play.
Sharkman 07-04-2006, 10:41 PM Hi neighbor...I live in Hanover, MD (near BWI Airport).
Sorry to go off the topic...just curious where you bought your RTL and what kind of deal you got.
I'm in the process of buying one and was wondering who gave you the best deal. I've talked to Jim Coleman's in Clarksville and Ourisman in Laurel...gonna go to Brown's in Glen Burnie this week.
shorty 07-05-2006, 08:37 AM Hi Sharkman,
I brought my RTL from Honda Of Annapolis, ask for Mat Hines. He is wonderful and will work with you. I got mine for 33,000 and after accessories it came to around 37,000. Tell him Lelia and Michelle sent you we are the ladies who purchased the Black RTL w/Nav back last month. He knows us very well. The service bay has 25 slots for vehicles and so far they have been great. Today I am taking the RTL in for all of the accessories Fender Flares, Backup camera, hood deflector, fog lights, door mask, running boards, and moon roof deflector. I have also order from trick trucks the bull bar for the front end. Before I head to Ohio I will have changed the door handles to chrome and the gas cap too. So much fun with the new toy. The shoes (rims) will be coming before the summer ends.:D
P.S I dealt all the ones you listed and with Ourisman of Bethesda and Bowie and H OF Annap kicked their butts. Jun 10 went in told them the numbers I had been working with from the other dealers and they made me an offer that I could not refuse and I signed the deal that morning and that evening they delivered the truck to my home....did I say to the house????? Yup, that's right, first class service from a great guy.
Black ridge runner,

Sharkman 07-05-2006, 06:00 PM Shorty,
Thanks for the info...but what did you get for that price? Here's a post that I posted in another forum here...look at the deals I was offered. Just curious how they compare to your deal. They were from Ourisman in Laurel and Jim Coleman in Clarksville. If you think Honda of Annapolis can beat it, I'll certainly give it a shot.
An update on my search for a Ridgeline...
The dealer wasn't able to move any on the internet quote of $24,571 on the 2006 RTS...the guy who originally quoted it wasn't in when I drove out there today...I'm still holding out hope that he'll work a little better deal for me, but I guess we'll see. They did have an RTS that has a roof rack and running boards, but they weren't listed in the cost of the truck. The salesman said he would try to get those thrown in since they weren't listed, but I would not know if they would throw those in until I decided that it was the one I wanted.
After visiting 2 dealerships, I am considering the RTL...yeah, I know, who wouldn't want the RTL...but, anyway...
I had one dealership get to $26,876 on an RTL with a moonroof...pretty good deal IMO...but is the RTL worth $2,305 more than the RTS? Guess that's something I have to decide on. One of the problems...it has a few accessories installed and I didn't want to pay their prices on the accessories (about $1000 worth of accessories). He said he would meet me half way on the price of the options, so I'm considering this deal very seriously.
At another dealership, I was offered a 2006 RTL that was in the showroom for $27811. It had a roof rack, running boards, mud flaps and a bed extender, but no moonroof. I guess I have to decide on the RTL with or without the moonroof...too many choices!!! And he said he couldn't do the same deal tomorrow because the $2000 Honda dealer incentive ran out tomorrow morning.
2006 RTS $24,571
2006 RTL w/ moonroof $26,876
2006 RTL w/ accessories but no moonroof $27,811
Decisions, decisions...???
Those prices are before tax, tags, destination charges...but I thought they were pretty good. They've got the 2007's rolling in, so they want to move the 2006's. What do you think?
Thanks for the help.
CUinaRidge 07-05-2006, 08:22 PM but is the RTL worth $2,305 more
After paying over 20,000 for a vehicle what is a couple grand more??
IMO RTL was worth the upgrade.... and VERY Happy I did!! The leather is great... The heated bun warmers are awesome in winter.... with heated mirrors.. Most here that got the cloth wished they had upgraded.. cloth wearing out fast and showing signs of wear and tear & stains. I think the value should hold better in the RTL version as well.
Everyone has there opinions but I think you will be happy if you upgrade.
:)
shorty 07-06-2006, 10:31 PM Hi Sharkman,
I have the RTL w/ Navi, Sun Roof, Black...with the total purchase price that is stated in my last post it included accessories and installation: Fender Flares, moon roof visor, running boards, hood deflector, window rain deflectors, fog lights, and backup camera, honda car package, and tire package, extended warranty for my little piece of mind.
Out of my pocket I just bought a bull bar with skid plate chrome with huge fog lights. I did not like the bull bar honda has.
I just also order a mini fridge cooler/warmer and can make ice cubes for long travel from walmart.com price 48.00 after shipping 58.00.
You have nothing to loose and only to gain by just talking with Mat with the numbers you already have.
p.s. be on the lookout for prices that seem to low. What I found is that some dealers will not include the dealer package in the price they may quote you and when you show up the truck has the package included on the truck and now your price just went from like the clarkville honda did me 26,660 to 27,800, which basically was the price the other dealers started out with. So for me, I cut clarkville out be straight forward with me and do not waste my time with hidden b.s. please ask for all the details you are getting for the quote they give you.
price in the last post is what I walked out the door with.

Hi There,
That would be fun to convoy up there! We are in Severna Park.
We got our RTL w/ navi and moonroof in Parkville. It was hard to find what I wanted in stock because I was picky about the color. Parkville had it. Annapolis would have gotten it from another dealer 200 miles away but I didn't want anybody else to drive my new RL for 200 miles.
Our bottom line with all fees and taxes was around $31,500. I got it last Tuesday.
We will see you soon!

We will return with plenty of pics and will share. I do plan to get more involved with getting the ridge owners in the area to do more outings once we return. I would love to setup a ridge campout for a weekend of fun and showing off the ridge for sure. Stay tuned!!! I was also thinking about getting some flyers made to post at the local dealerships to encourage more gatherings and ridge bonding. Let me know what you think. There are soooo many ridges in this area that it is mind blowing.
I finally found a name for my ridge "BLACK BEAUTY" and that, she is!!!
