Pardon me while I VoMiT!!! Seriously, that is one ugly vehicle. My wife had the last generation CR-V and it was far nicer looking than this thing. To me it looks like it's made by Saturn. What's with the funky dated trim around the rear side window? Is that Chrome? Did I just step back in time to 1974?
The grill looks like it got it's design from a junior high school student. I can hardly believe that Honda did this. I predict that sales will plummet.

Well that looks totally DIFFERENT! Certaintly leaves room for improvment.

If anything Honda should keep the current CR-V and call the new one the 07 CR-V Sport or something like that, keep them both, then, based on sales, either keep producing the new 07 model or retrofit the 06 version for future models.... this new design is just too damn fugly.

I like it. Might be a great replacement for my wife's '04 Accord V6.

The new Civic (own one) and the new Fit are two very nicely designed vehicles and will attract thousands of buyers. But the new CR-V is, in my opinion, a huge mistake in design attraction. True, the Ridge started out with a lot of folks thinking it's looks were rather odd (I was one of them), but it's performance sold me. The CR-V doesn't have great looks OR any great performance/function qualities that make it exceptional (my opinion). With such tough competition I would think Honda would have come up with something better to lure in more buyers, other than just brand loyalty (yes, I am one of them too). If I was in the market for a small SUV, I would shop at Toyota, Acura, or Lexus instead.

I have seen some talk on the web about a turbo-desiel in the '07 CR-V. It is supposed to be powerfull and get super gas mileage.
