I just wanted to revive this discussion since there are many more members in this forum. I am interested in this item (http://www.muthco.com/products/smtechnology.htm) for my RL. I've contacted someone from the company. Here is the latest response from one of their representatives:

"Thank you for your inquiry!

You commented: I've been waiting for a year and still no response. How is the progress on this mirror, if any?
We still have you flagged for notification. At this time, we have had some interest, but not enough to justify a kit.

If you have any questions or comments, please contact me directly."

The company currently has kits available for the Pilot, Odyssey and CRV. If anyone is interested in this nice safety feature, please send an inquiry to the company. Here is the link to the inquiry form (http://www.muthco.com/vehiclerequestform.htm). I personally think any large vehicle should have this feature. Sidemarkers would also serve the same purpose but I think it would look better if the signal was integrated into the mirror. Thanks in advance for your help.

bongus,

I see you talk to Muth Mirrors system, I did along time ago also and got the same responds. I then look for another Mirror signal unit an found this website:

http://www.auto-care.com/turnsmart.html

It work great, only had one problem and they fix that already (water leak into the unit and shorted the lights).

Why not get a fish eye mirror to stick on and turn your head when you want to change lanes? Good exercise too!

I have no blind spot. I point the side mirrors to the complete extreme right and left. I see cars approaching in the rear view mirror, and before they leave the rear view mirror, they show up on the side, and then show up in the windows as they are directly next to me.

The side mirrors do not need to be pointed to see exactly what the rear view mirror sees. They should be focused on a different area.

But, a fish eye mirror will show everything on the side mirrors with NO blindspot whatsoever. They cost maybe $5 each at Pep Boys or Checker/Kragen

I've been meaning to do this on my passenger side mirror (just as I did on my old truck). But I've got heated mirrors so I'm wondering how well the stick on mirror would stick.

As a driver, I notice vehicles with the turn signals on the mirrors and think its a great safety feature. Too bad Honda didn't put them on their vehicles as standard. If I notice them, I'm sure other drivers do as well.
