The $2000 factory to dealer incentive for 2006 Ridgelines expired July 7. Does anyone know if it was extended?

I've heard it's still available to sell off the 2006 Ridgelines. But one dealer told me it was cancelled, and replaced with the new promotional APR program. My take is that dealers just don't want us to know about the $2000 incentive, and some don't even tell their sales about this.

My source indicates currently in effect till 9/5.

Is this for every dealer in the country, and if so when did it start? I assume that it has not been around long because I purchased in Feb of 06 and had no discussion about this.

I was told by a local dealer here in NY state that they only have APR's to offer on the '06 models.

Some of the dealers are very secretive about the dealer incentives. I spoke to a sales manager at a large dealership in Phoenix and he said the $2000 dealer incentive was private between Honda USA and the dealer and he was not required to reduce his price.
I said fine and walked away.

The current $2000 dealer incentive was introduced on May 1, 2006.

If memory serves there was a $500 incentive in February, 06.

Keep in mind that these are not rebates. This is back end money Honda gives to the dealer. The dealer is under no obligation to let you know of the incentive, nor to pass on any of the savings to the customer.

I purchased mine yesterday(7/28) and was told it was extended. Good luck on your purchase.
