I am talking about Just in Time tints, this guy is so picky he will not give your truck back until there is not 1 bubble on the windows (WaOOO). Great guy check him out. Phone number is on the sign his name of course JUSTIN.
Madridge 07-19-2006, 11:23 PM By the way that is Justin on the right side of pic
bongus 07-20-2006, 12:01 AM Looks good...what tint percentage did you put on the windows?
Madridge 07-20-2006, 09:42 PM Bongus
Thanks for checking in.
I work for a film manufacturer company of course Solar Guard i used 15% Supreme its a new inproved window film for cars it does not fade at all and it's guaranteed for life... how about that;)
jd144 07-20-2006, 10:28 PM Looks nice. Unfortunately, illegal in California.
No tint permitted on front windows, so CHP can see if you are a gangster or if you have a gun. Actually...if I were a cop, I would like that law.

I don't have tints in front window but i was thinking of putting a 50%Y film by SOLAR GUARD this also is a new film that will do the same job of any Dark film and Cops can't tell

I'm thinking that I need to take a break from this website. I seem to be getting easily frustrated with the stupidity of mankind.

FLORIDARIDGER 07-25-2006, 07:10 AM I am still looking to get my windows tinted, I usually do that right away after getting a new vehicle, but I've been busy doing other add ons!!!
Wish I was closer to this guy in West Palm Beach, I will just have to get it done closer to home again. Thanks for the info.
meanmachine19 07-25-2006, 11:02 AM Did a search on tint laws....here is one of many links for state limitations. Interesting to see the difference in the states....
Window Tint Laws (http://www.tintcenter.com/laws/)
gpziegler 07-28-2006, 09:01 PM Tint percentage refers to the amount of light that will penetrate it. A lower tint percentage i.e. 5% only allows 5% of visible light through it when tested with a meter. The lower the number, the darker the tint. My Ridge has 30% on the front (Max in SC) and 20% on the rear doors and back window. 20% is plenty dark. The kids in the "pocket rockets" around here want 5% as it is almost a total black out.

Hold on...according to THIS (http://www.tintcenter.com/laws/CA/), tint is okay in the front as long as 70% of visible light is allowed to penetrate through the window. Now, the trick is to convince the cop giving you the ticket that this is the law...you could always "tell it to the judge".

FLORIDARIDGER 07-30-2006, 07:29 AM I also was recently looking on Ebay for window tints, was thinking of doing it myself as I am pretty good at doing things but after reading these threads on window tint, I will be going to the local shop where I had mine and my daughter's done about 6 years ago and getting a quote & checking out their material used first. I remember about 15 years ago the store bought stuff was junk, and as several of you have said on this thread, we've got Ridgelines worth $30k plus and it's worth the extra $$. I just hated the thought of them taking off those door panels! I had that done to my last vehicle and they screwed it up and nicked the panel, I was NOT happy!!! Thanks for all the good advice.

FLORIDARIDGER 08-03-2006, 07:30 AM I broke down and got my windows tinted yesterday on a whim, there's a local shop about 15 minutes from me that I've used for my other vehicles in the past, I went in to check out all the types of tint, etc. and he did them right there on the spot, he said he had a commercial job reschedule so he was free to do my windows! Awesome! I only did the front ones though, he kinda talked me outta doing the back ones, but I may go back and get them done, we shall see how I like it in the coming week. Thanks to all for the info, and pm's, and even some emails on this!!! Have a great week and ROC on !!!
