RTS problem

Hi Ya'll,

I have a small problem with my RTS. When in cruise and the speed drops when on a small hill,, the RTS does not increase speed until it ha sdropped 5+ miles per hour. Then it eccelerates to above 5,000 RPM's before it returns to speed. Has anyone else had this problem?

Mine drops some before gearing down, but I think it's more like 2 or 3 mph. Gearing down will cause the RPMs to go up.

yep same here - but 3-5 - not unlike my past autos actually..

I'll be in the mountains in Virginia this weekend so i'll give mine a test and see. I live in Delaware....(flat)......so i can't answer your question right now.

Mine gears down when going up hills with cruise set but the revs only go up by maybe a grand. It would be a surprise, except that we first experienced this with a 2001 Odyssey & our 2005 Odyssey's the same way. After a while you'll learn to put a very light foot on the accelerator pedal about halfway up a hill. With some practice you can limit the downshifting & revving...

While trucks usually are programmed to have more drop in speed than cars before they react, both figures sound excessive. However you did not state at what speed you have the cruise set at.

I experience this just going up the overpasses.
