Can anyone tell me if the camera that the Honda dealers install is supposed to be color matched to the truck? I got one installed today after it took 2 weeks to arrive, and when I go to pick it up, the camera body is Gray. Which of course looks horrible on my BLACK truck.
Thanks for any answers.

No, they are not color matched. Most dealers will paint them from between $0-$60.

Mine cost fifty bucks to get color matched, glad I did it, and glad to have the camera. I use it all the time.

I had mine painted. Looks great.
DO NOT PUT ANYTHING LIKE ARMOR ALL ON THE COVER PRIOR TO PAINTING.
Paint won't adhere.

Hey
Could you post pics of your camera? How much did it cost, parts and installation? Thanks

The dealer put my backup camera on and it was black and my truck is black. I did not get charge for painting anything. Not sure if this is another way to make more money off of us. HMMMM>..

Total it was like 1250.00. You can get them a whole lot cheaper, but I don't have the time to take all the things apart to run the wiring. Plus that isn't something I want to tackle. That is why I wasn't happy when I go to pick it up and it was a gray camera on a black truck. Looked horrible.
They agreed to paint it for free but I went ahead and did it this morning myself. I will put some pictures up later
