My first tank of gas besides the delivery tank, at 220 miles i filled it up, drove it to 562 miles and filled it up agian, took 17.08 gallons. This equates to about 20 MPG with a brand new engine and i didn't baby it. It was about 50/50 city highway and my average hwy speed was 70 to 85. There were some pedal to the medal starts thrown in as well. This is one sweet truck and I gotta tell ya that I am very pleased considering the weight and the fact that it is a 4x4. By the way I live in colorado and there were elevation changes during this tank. Not sure why there are other folks who claim 15 to 16 mpg. Just love this truck and really appreciate this forum, Have learned quite a bit from your folks experience. :p

I was getting 20 - 22 MPG on the highway until I corrected my tire pressure. The tire pressure was 43psi, but I lowered it to 32psi as per the owners manual. Now the ride is much smoother, but I'm getting 16 - 17 MPG on the highway! I'll be increasing the tire pressure this afternoon.

That's a lot of rolling friction to make that great a difference...

I have my tires set at 35 lbs,,to get that mileage, they had them all at 40 lbs when I bought the truck. Will have to try 32 just to check out the ride difference but 35 feels pretty good to me.
