I looking to sell this bed mounted bike rack that I built earlier this year. It is powder coated (black textured) steel and has 2 Delta lockable bike hitches mounted to it. It fits between the two floor mounted anchor points directly behind the cab, basically you remove one anchor, set the rack down and bolt the anchor back in. Only mountain bikes (2) will fit, ROAD BIKES WILL NOT as their handle bars are too large and don't clear the rear window.
Make me a reasonable offer and it's yours. The bike hitches are $25 each at REI so use that as a guide. The padlocks are not included but the spot that they would rub has 3M invisible bra material to prevent wear marks. Shipping may be tricky because of its size, local pickup would be best but we can probably figure out shipping, i'm in Seattle, WA.

Hi,
If the rack is still available, would it be possible to get a close up pic of how it mounts to an anchor? Thanks.

It is still available, I don't have my camera with me but basically there is a vertical plate that has a tab on it that the hole in the anchor fits over. That tab keeps the rack from coming out, it's not attached to the anchor really, it's held in by it. There is plastic edging on the bottom edge of the vertical plate and a piece of rubber between it and the anchor to prevent rubbing and scratching.
Also if you have large bar ends or any handlebar extensions that point forward from your bars they will probably not fit. A normal mountain bike with normal bars fits fine and you CAN CLOSE THE TAILGATE as well.

Sounds simple enough. How much are you looking for it with shipping to 95120? I saw an adjustable rack at Performance Bikes for $59, so am thinking about that one, too.

If you are thinking about that one for $59 I would just get it, that doesn't even cover the materials it took to build this one. I'm sure it isn't as tough (you can stand on this one) or as secure but the price is pretty good.
