hondaguy3 07-26-2006, 12:17 AM As talked about in the mods forum if you are interested in making your windows roll back up with the kptechnologies module we need to get 20 people in on this for the deal at 45 bucks shipped. contact me imediately or reply here.
here is a video of it in action http://www.kptechnologies.com/images/honda/rl/hrl.avi
beepbill23 07-26-2006, 01:11 AM So, this item we would be buying, would roll up the windows while seting the alarm on trhe truck, as if we were to roll them down when unarming the truck? For $45 Not a bad deal!
unclemepi 07-26-2006, 07:02 AM Count me in on this! 17 more to go....
Bill L.
MRFRIDAY 07-26-2006, 07:28 AM I will be interested also in the roll up module
KPierson 07-26-2006, 08:07 AM The install instructions can be downloaded from www.KPtechnologies.com under the 'support' heading.
Here is a post from the KPtech support forum detailing HondaGuy3's install:
http://kptechnologies.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=191
In HondaGuy3's RL we didn't try the back window, and he doesn't have a sunroof. To find out what all will be controlled open everything up (all windows, sunroof, back window) and then insert your key in the drivers side key cylinder, turn it to the 'LOCK' position, release it, then turn and hold it in the 'LOCK' postion for 10 seconds. Your windows should rise, and if your sunroof and/or back window move then they will be controlled by the module. This module basically simulates you putting your key in the door cylinder. It is triggered by two consecutive 'LOCK' pulses with the vehicle off, within 2 seconds.
Any questions let me know!

Rick Walker 07-26-2006, 08:33 AM I'm interested in one, but will this have an impact on the Honda warranty?
KPierson 07-26-2006, 08:44 AM There may be an effect on the warranty, but only very limited parts.
The module does not drive the windows directly, it communicates with the BCM, which in turn powers the windows. So, if you have power window problems the warranty should still be valid. Our module only outputs ~10mA at full output.
However, if for some reason the input on the BCM quits working there is a good chance that the warranty will not be honored. In 2+ years we've never had a single warranty issue. If you are worried about what the dealer would say with this installed the installation and uninstallation is simpole enough that it can be removed before going back to the dealership. Although KPtech recomends soldering all connections many customers have used 't-taps' which can be removed with little evidence of modification.

Bikemedic 07-26-2006, 12:34 PM I'm in too. I had one on my Passat and it worked great. The only problem is the instilation. Can be tough. I am sure the first person to install one will do a picture by picture insturctions aimed at the Ridgeline. Hint..Hint

hondaguy3 07-26-2006, 12:49 PM here is the how to right here http://kptechnologies.com/forums/vie...3df43a 3d2564 took us about an hour to do
joeboy 07-26-2006, 04:02 PM I'll take one please.
Kepeli 07-26-2006, 04:26 PM I might be interested but I have a question. Can I still leave the windows opened slightly on a hot day and have the alarm set or will the windows close fully when the alarm is set?
beepbill23 07-26-2006, 04:31 PM The install seems very simple. Its making sure you can pull your door interior off and put it back on without scratching it. But, looking at the pictoral diagram, it seems very easy and could be done in less than an hour. Cant wait for it! Just let me know when its time for the ORDER!

KPierson 07-26-2006, 04:42 PM I might be interested but I have a question. Can I still leave the windows opened slightly on a hot day and have the alarm set or will the windows close fully when the alarm is set?
The windows will only automatically go up when you hit the 'LOCK' button twice within the 2 second window. Your alarm will acutally arm with one press of the 'LOCK' button, and on the 2nd lock it will give you audable confirmation.
If you want to leave the windows vented, that's no problem. Hit the 'LOCK' button twice and wait for the windows to get almost all the way up. Hit the 'LOCK' button a 3rd time and the windows will instantly stop moving, leaving them vented at whatever point they were at when you hit the 'LOCK' button.
The install could be done in less then an hour, I have confidence in that. When HondaGuy3 and I were working on his we were working from scratch (no wiring information at all) so we had to probe around for wires. We also wasted some time chit chatting as we hadn't seen each other for a while. With the post on KPtech's forum you could easily get this done in under 45 minutes (although we do recomend verifying all wires with a volt meter before making connections!).
lgmendez 07-26-2006, 06:02 PM I put a similar system in my civic back in 96 and the only thing I hated was that when I pressed the interior lock button on the driver door, the windows would go up. Since the Ridge locks after rolling at 10 mph, would it trigger this module to roll the windows up? I would love to get confirmation that the only way the windows roll up is by pressing the lock button on the remote 2x's and holding it down. Also, do you need to keep the button pressed until the windows close?
thanks.
SSquire 07-26-2006, 06:13 PM I would like one too.
hondaguy3 07-26-2006, 06:38 PM There is a safe guard in the module that will not allow the windows to roll up with the key in the ignition. so you are fine!
unclemepi 07-26-2006, 07:46 PM In case you have an RTL W/ moonroof, here's some info. The " key in the doorlock, turn twice and hold test" showed that the moonroof and the back slider window don't close. :(
But I'd still buy the kit!
Bill L.
joeydinphilly 07-26-2006, 08:35 PM I'll take one of these module's.

Thanks for the reply hondaguy3. What about if the windows are down, I'm in the truck with the doors unlocked, key not in the ignition and I hit the lock button on the driver's or passengers doors; does the module activate and roll the windows up?
hondaguy3 07-26-2006, 09:41 PM Thanks for the reply hondaguy3. What about if the windows are down, I'm in the truck with the doors unlocked, key not in the ignition and I hit the lock button on the driver's or passengers doors; does the module activate and roll the windows up?
In my accord this will roll the windows up! I will have to try it in the ridgeline and get back to you. I will try it in the morning. I see no reason why it would not roll the windows up.
Madridge 07-26-2006, 10:06 PM Hey
Have a question you mention something about 2 second time frame does this mean that by the time the last door is closed you have 2 seconds to activate the window roll up?

If the ignition is turned to the 'ON' position the KPtech module is disabled. If the windows are remotely raising when the ignition is turned on the windows will stop immediately (another safety feature we have included).
In order to trigger the KPtech module you must have the ignition off and you must press the lock button twice within 2 seconds. You do NOT need to hold the button down at all. As stated above, a 3rd lock pulse will stop the windows immediately (For safety and venting convenience).
Thanks for the reply hondaguy3. What about if the windows are down, I'm in the truck with the doors unlocked, key not in the ignition and I hit the lock button on the driver's or passengers doors; does the module activate and roll the windows up?
The module will be triggered from the interior door lock switches, since the module uses the door lock actuator signal as its trigger IF the door lock button is pushed within the timing window. We use a fairly tight window to prevent accidental triggerings. However, if you do accidently trigger them from the inside you can stop them immediately by hitting the lock button a 3rd time.
For those of you who don't know (which I would assume is most of you) this module is not a new product, in fact it's over 2 years old, and is well tested and highly praised in the newer Honda/Acura world (7th gen Honda Accord, Acura TSX, Acura TL). KPtechnologies offers both a no questions asked warranty (even when questions are asked we fix anything we sell for free!) and a no questions asked return policy (typically limited to 30 days).
Once again, I want to thank HondaGuy3 for arranging testing of his truck and for putting forth the effort to arrange this group buy (please keep in mind he is doing this all himself, he is only affiliating with KPtech through friendship!)
Feel free to let me know if you have any other questions,
Kevin
KPierson 07-26-2006, 10:15 PM Hey
Have a question you mention something about 2 second time frame does this mean that by the time the last door is closed you have 2 seconds to activate the window roll up?
No, the two second time frame references the first door lock press to the 2nd door lock press.
The actuators in the newer Hondas are actually pretty slow, and when you hit the lock button they take about 1 second to fully fire. You must wait for the actuator to return to its resting position (you can tell audibly when the door lock actuator finishes) and then you have roughly 1.5 seconds to push the button again. So, from the first press you must wait ~1 second and then you have about ~1.5 seconds to push the button a second time, which equals ~2 seconds in my book!
Lingered_I 07-26-2006, 10:24 PM Is the auto-reverse on the drivers window affected by this module i.e. will the window still back off an inch or two if blocked?
Also, has anyone figured out how to boost the range of the remote? I reckon that mine is good for 75ft. I'm used to 300ft or more on other vehicles. The main reason that I would get this unit is to power the windows from my office, through the window, if it started to rain, but I don't think the remote has the range.

If you are interested in purchasing PM me and i will PM you back with payment details.
The auto reverse function still works it is just like you are rolling the window up inside the car!
Just wondering if anyone would know... KP? HondaGuy?...
... is the module "update-able"? Y'know... like an EEPROM or something similar?
Case in point:
I haven't seen it mentioned if the module sends an "alert", i.e. horn honk/light flash if there is an obstruction detected and your window returns to the "halfway-down position". In the video, I noticed that there is the normal "beep" before the windows begin to close. It would be nice to know if a window remained halfway open, and a second alert integrated into the reversing circuit or something similar indicating this would be a plus!
If the module CAN be updated, I'd hold-off on the soldering of the connections and mount it securely, but less permanently, in hopes that it could be sent back to you guys at KPtechnologies for a "flash" to enable the alert if you developed/integrated it in the near future.
You mentioned that the product has been around for a couple years, so I s'pose you've come across this question before?
The ScanGaugeII I use has this ability...
I don't know if this is even a possible consideration for this type of module... just wondering...
:)
Frank
KPierson 07-29-2006, 04:59 PM The module has a custom programmed microcontroller that can be field upgraded. The controller is in a socket and you can pop out the old chip and put in a new chip.
However, the product, for the most part, is finalized, with no plans of adding anything else to the software any time soon.
The module doesn't actually have any control over the windows, it simply sends a request to the BCM to have the BCM raise the windows. Our module has no way of knowing if the windows actually even moved! That being said, our module has a very low current draw (~6mA at idle, <20mA when activated).
Also, the KPtech module comes complete with its own Molex connector, so disconnecting the module is simple and doesn't require any rewiring.
KPierson,
Thanks for the info. I'll mount it to be permanent.
Looking forward to delivery...
And thanks for the group opportunity!
I'm sure I'll be happy with your product. Last week I got drenched believing the weatherman.
I know I wouldn't have melted, but this mod will raise the "comfort-level" of the Ridgeline another notch.

joeboy 08-01-2006, 01:48 PM Matt, thanks again for handling all this for everyone.
Matt/Kevin,
Got the module in the mail today. Thanks for the speedy delivery! I just reviewed the info here (http://kptechnologies.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=191) and printed-out a few of the pics to help in the installation.
Looks like it will go pretty smoothly. I was wondering... do either of you guys recommend pulling any fuses or modules before beginning the installation?
And, how close in proximity to the "correct White/Red wire" are those four pesky "incorrect White/Red wires" in the door?
I spotted 3 in the pic of the Main wiring harness, but don't see a fourth "incorrect wire" in any of the pics. I guess maybe I'll see it when I remove the door panel. I'm just looking to identify all the wires so as to make the install more "foolproof" for all those involved... thanks for any help.
If I understand the Accord instructions correctly (that I received with the module), the "correct White/Red wire" will read 5V until the key is turned to "lock". In the "lock" position, it reads 0V? Is this correct?
Sorry for all the questions... I'm working the "graveyard shift" this week and my brain has been "zombie-fied".
Hey! Someone's gotta ask these questions, right? heh-heh! Thanks.
Pug
Here's a couple pics to refresh memory...
hondaguy3 08-02-2006, 07:08 PM Pug....Im going to let kevin reply to you on this he is the expert i will let him know there are some questions on the install.
Hope you enjoy your module
KPierson 08-02-2006, 07:21 PM KPtechnologies does not recomend unhooking the battery or pulling fuses for the simple fact that we do recomend testing ALL wires with a multimeter before making connection. If fuses/battery are disconnected you will not be able to verify the wiring.
What I recomend is to do one wire at a time. The only wire that will be an issue is the green/white wire that hooks to the KPtech red wire because its hot at all times. Make this connection and insulate it before doing anything else. Make all other connections with the ignition off and there won't be any chances of damaging anything.
If you do somehow short out the green/white wire with ground there is a 20A fuse for the drivers side power window that will need to be changed, it shouldn't be a big deal.
Of course, our recomendations are the bare minimum for an experianced person to complete the installation safely and easily. If you want to take extra precautions it definately won't hurt, it will just take longer!
Good luck,
Kevin
SoCal Ridge 08-04-2006, 09:52 PM I just completed the install of the all window up module and it turned out to be real easy. The pictures from the links in this thread proved invaluable. The door panel removal went fairly well. There are a total of 6 screws that need to be removed before you can pull the panel off, 2 7mm screws behind the panel behind the big door door grab handle and 3 phillips head screws that you can see once the door open lever is removed. The last screw is underneath the rubber mat that is in the traditional door handle recess. Once these six screws are removed the door panel pulls right off. Thanks to everybody who posted instructions on this thread because it made this mod go very smoothly
hondaguy3 08-05-2006, 12:30 AM glad to hear it went well
mugen1 08-05-2006, 06:08 AM As talked about in the mods forum if you are interested in making your windows roll back up with the kptechnologies module we need to get 20 people in on this for the deal at 45 bucks shipped.
45 bucks shipped to Canada as well? I can't believe I missed this thread. I have an aftermarket alarm, but it shouldn't be a problem. If you have any left, I'm in. I'll paypal you as soon as I get the OK from you.
So simple, the concept -- I really like the idea of it being all self contained in one door with no passing of wires through the door harness/grommets. Thanks for arranging the group buy (even if I'm too late).
KPierson 08-05-2006, 10:51 AM The module is designed to work with OEM systems, and may not work properly with an aftermarket alarm. This is because the module requires to +12vdc pulses to trigger. Most alarms will not relock the doors if the system is armed.
KPtechnologies never recomends running wires in the door, as you compromise the OEM weather seal that exists. In some cars this isn't a big deal, but in other cars sensitive equipment is mounted in the drivers kick panel that can be damaged from water dripping in.
beepbill23 08-05-2006, 11:48 AM Ok, got mine in the mail Friday(08/04/06) and i was way too excited to install it, i coudlnt sleep! Anyways, i took the pics of how i put the mod in.
1) Removal of the Black Plate(simple tug and remove)
http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b297/beeperbill23/WINDOW%20MOD/1-RemovalOfBlackPlate.jpg
2) Remove black rubber mat to reveal this black screw(about 1.25 inches long)
http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b297/beeperbill23/WINDOW%20MOD/2-RemovalOfDoorScrew.jpg
3)Remove the plate that sits behind the door handle to reveal 2 nut driven bolts(9/32 or a 7mm)
http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b297/beeperbill23/WINDOW%20MOD/3-RemovalOfDoorHandleBolts.jpg
4)The Door handle comes loose, but the door wire hinge is still connected. Simply slip plastic piece off wire to remove the ball joint and slip off the green round part off the metal clip.
http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b297/beeperbill23/WINDOW%20MOD/4-RemovalOfDoorHandleLatch.jpg
beepbill23 08-05-2006, 11:56 AM 5)There are 3 screws to remove, this would conclude the 6 total screws removed for door removal. Its easiest witha door puller if you have 1. But if not, simply pull door panel away from door, carefully. Some of The white tabs that hold in place may come off the metal part of the door, some may stay in the door. Just use the back of a hammer or the door puller to pull the white tabs off and slip back into place on the door panel to put the door back on later.
http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b297/beeperbill23/WINDOW%20MOD/5-RemovalOf3DoorScrews.jpg
6)The whole picture of the wires and how they are attached
http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b297/beeperbill23/WINDOW%20MOD/6-WiringWhole.jpg
7)The pictures you see in this post from others is correct! Just follow the wiring diagrams and its pretty much a cake walk from here! For those who Are NOT solder savy, you can simply use wire taps! I am inclined in soldering, but i just wanted to see if this would really work! Indeed it does! Proven tests over and over again with and without the door panel on. VERY easy and much FASTER install time! The door panel has PLENTY of room for this! This is the 3 wires from the window door controller.
http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b297/beeperbill23/WINDOW%20MOD/7-WiringOf3Wires.jpg
8)This picture is of the 2 wires along the door
http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b297/beeperbill23/WINDOW%20MOD/8-WiringOf2Wires.jpg
Conclusion: total time 30 minutes! this includes Door removal, wiring mod, door replacement, and testing!
GREATEST mod ive ever put into a STOCK vehicle without paying for the Aftermarket Alarm to do this feature!! A savings of about $500 in my area!
beepbill23 08-05-2006, 12:00 PM As you can see the pictures that PUG has posted, i just simply followed that EXACT wiring diagram and without even a blink, the wires are EXACTLY the same! Thanks PUG for your pictures so that i could wire and repost how i installed my window mod. And thank you to HONDAguy3!! Without you, this wouldnt have been possible!

Great install beepbill23! And great pics to show the way for us others!
For the record... the pics I posted were originally posted at Kevin's site (http://kptechnologies.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=191) and were taken by them, during HondaGuy's original installation.
I simply combined and re-posted a couple here. They deserve ALL the credit!
To see the rest, before doing the install, everyone SHOULD take the time to check-out the info there, as well.
Thanks to all who've posted!
All your install pics and info will undoubtedly prove invaluable when I finally get around to finding the time to do the installation myself!
Pug :)
geotech 08-05-2006, 12:31 PM Got the unit yesterday. Thanks hondaguy3. And thanks to all of you for the pics and encouragement to do this mod on my own on Sunday. Thanks again!
Lingered_I 08-05-2006, 04:04 PM I just installed mine - took about 45 minutes, and I definitely could not have done it without the photos, so thanks to all for posting them. I did have a little concern when I thought that I had broken all the door trim clips. All of them stayed in the door frame instead of the door panel, but luckly the trim receptical didn't get broken. It took a few minutes to get them off the door frame (you have to squeeze) at fit them back on the panel. I went with the wire taps too. It works like a charm.
All that is left now is to figure out how to stop the annoying horn beep, and how to get the moonroof and rear window to close too. The rear window should be fairly easy so I'm off to study the wiring diagrams.
hondaguy3 08-05-2006, 04:17 PM glad everyone is enjoying them. :)
NKyRidge 08-05-2006, 08:41 PM i should have mine on Monday when I return to Great Lakes IL (: (north Chicago)
Night06Rdgline 08-05-2006, 10:43 PM I'm game for this mod.. .where do i go to pay or order??
mugen1 08-06-2006, 02:12 PM Just ordered it. Probably won't see it for a couple of weeks. Getting stuff shipped across the border takes forever sometimes.
Go here (http://www.ridgelineownersclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1585) if you're feeling a little "queazy" about the door panel removal. ;)
jch explains it in detail (with pics!) in Part 1 of his speaker mod thread.
A "most excellent" how-to! Thanks jch!
geotech 08-06-2006, 07:45 PM The door panel link would have helped. My fault for not searching this site. Only other problem was getting the main harness to release. Don't know why? Love the way it works! Thanks again, Matt. (considering same mod for my '05 Accord)
bongus 08-06-2006, 11:03 PM Well...have not received mine yet. I noticed someone from Turlock has received it. If it is Turlock, CA that's about 2.5 hours from my house. Hopefuly it arrives on Monday. I'll keep everyone posted...I know Hondaguy3 was saving money going with First Class mail so that explains why no tracking number. I'm so accustomed to tracking numbers for purchasing items it's hard to wait for something when you don't know where it is.
beepbill23 08-07-2006, 04:33 AM Yes indeed Turlock, that's where im from! So, 2.5 hours away, where would that be, Bongus? Well, for sending 1st class, i got it in 4 days for the matter of fact! I installed it the next day, in 30 minutes tops! Using the wire taps saved helluva lot of time! Also, the white door clips, that stick to the door itself, use a hammer back-end, or a door panel remover. Then just slide the white clips on the door panel, no squeezing and pushing thru, just simple slide on. i love the mod! Can leave windows down during hot times, and roll them up from a distance, without having to go outside, open truck, roll up windows and then lock up and go back into the house or where ever you are.
Oh, off the topic, Santa Cruz, CA. Meet, that is on Sept 30th, correct?? Would love to try to make it to that event and meet some new Ridgers! I fish that pier quite a bit, when i have time and off from work. Its free fishing off a PUBLIC California Pier. As long as its a Sanctioned PUBLIC Pier, in california, you are entitled to FISH for free(certain restrictions apply to each pier of their own). Most however are allowed 2 poles, or a crab net and 1 pole. I bring all 3. Fish 2 poles and use crab net to lift up any big fish(if any). Mostly bait fish, but hey it beats the hell out of WORK!!
bayhuntr 08-07-2006, 08:54 AM Paid with PayPal Tuesday, shipped Wednesday and received Friday. Thanks Hondaguy3! Installed Sunday with out problem and it works great.
Also want to thank Pug and beepbill23 for the extra instruction / pictures, they made it so easy.
bongus 08-07-2006, 10:16 AM So, 2.5 hours away, where would that be, Bongus?
Hello BeepBill23, I live in good ol' Sacramento...the land of the "Terminator". I'm planning on attending the meet at Santa Cruz. Right now, I'm still waiting on the Window Mod...sure hope it arrives in the next couple of days.
SSquire 08-07-2006, 05:33 PM Got mine today, looking forward to getting it installed.
Paid with PayPal Tuesday, shipped Wednesday and received Friday. Thanks Hondaguy3! Installed Sunday with out problem and it works great.
Also want to thank Pug and beepbill23 for the extra instruction / pictures, they made it so easy.
Please extend your thanks where they're due... the others, including jch, beepbill23, KPierson, hondaguy3, Lingered_I, (am I missin' anyone?) deserve the real credit for "producing" the help! I merely "directed" you to some of their very helpful hints/tips. (and for that, yer most welcome!)
Hell! I haven't even managed to squeeze-in my own installation, as of yet!
I got some wire tap-ins from RS today to do it the "easy way", but wouldn't ya know it... a torrential downpour just as I was getting started! :(
THAT, coupled with the fact that I could be the world's greatest "Pro"fessional "Crastinator" has "caught me with my windows down"!;)
After the weather clears-up, hopefully tomorrow, I'll be able to pick them up from around my ankles and get this thing together, with the knowledge gleaned from the aforementioned's posts! I think I'll try it blindfolded with one arm tied behind my back...
Thanks again to all!
I'm game for this mod.. .where do i go to pay or order??
Sorry Night06Rdgline... I missed yer post earlier... I don't know if any are left, but I think if you PM hondaguy3 (http://www.ridgelineownersclub.com/forums/member.php?u=5030), he'll be able to let'cha know for sure!
:)
hondaguy3 08-07-2006, 07:02 PM we still have modules left the cut off for this group buy is tonight at midnight. They will ship this week, most likely wensday pm me to get in or just send your payment to Golddriver34@aol.com. Sorry for the slow responses i have been very busy but i will get them out quick just like the last shipment!
The door panel link would have helped. My fault for not searching this site. Only other problem was getting the main harness to release. Don't know why? Love the way it works! Thanks again, Matt. (considering same mod for my '05 Accord)
Sheesh! Finally got a chance to put it in!
I feel your pain, geotech! That main harness connection was a bear to pull apart! I finally got it by slipping a small flatbladed screwdriver straight up in, parallel with the clip on the side of the connector.
A coupla hints/tips for anyone that hasn't installed their's yet:
Get a box (or something) to rest the door panel on once you get it separated from the door. It was something I didn't think of, but just happened to have a box close-by that was just the right height to slip under the door.
It enabled me to pull-apart the connections without putting too much tension on the wiring. I think there were four connections in total.
The "white/red" wire is in a separate taped-up bundle of a few wires. The "yellow/black" wire is in the other taped-up bundle. If you look closely at the pics (especially beepbill's), you'll see what I mean.
I used the wire tap-ins also. Man! What a breeze! Red 18-22 size. Don't know why beepbill used some blue 14-18 size ones. (Maybe beepbill would care to elaborate?)
Before I re-installed the door panel, I hung it in place (over the manual door-lock) and held "the plunger" (to simulate the door being closed) while I tested the window-up mod, the lock-controls, the regular window controls, and the mirror-controls, to make sure that I hadn't inadvertently disconnected anything. Then I snapped the door panel into place... but made a boo-boo... :o
I was B.S.'ing with a friend, and didn't pay attention to the door-handle cable that got "sandwiched" behind the metal housing. It held the housing out from the door, but somehow I managed to get the three philips-head screws in, and only noticed the green-plastic ferrule when I went to tighten-up the screws. While removing the screws, one fell behind the panel, between it and the door, meaning I had to remove the panel AGAIN to extricate the screw that had fallen, and RE-remove the white plastic plugs that stayed in the door, as I pulled the panel off for the second time... So, BE CAREFUL!
Overall, even though I had some "difficulties", it was an easy, clean installation, and works "as advertised". It took me an hour. It will take you less if you mind yer screws and only hafta remove the panel once.
Hope this helps someone... any questions... just ask.
Good Luck, and enjoy yer mod.
Thanks to all again for the pics and wiring tips.
Thanks Matt and KP.
Pug :)
bongus 08-11-2006, 12:35 AM All this news is getting me a bit frustrated. I am one of the early group orders and I still have not received my mod. I've been told by Matt that it may take up to 30 days!!!! I've never had to wait this long for First Class Mail to arrive from the East to the West. I'm I the only one waiting? Are there others out there that have not received their mod in a timely manner? I sure wish there was a tracking method...

Normal delivery is typically 5 business days, but it doesn't surprise me when it takes 10. The USPS doesn't consider anything lost until 30 days.
Just so everyone knows it cost significantly more to get tracking numbers, a cost that would have been covered by the customer. I advised Matt that tracking numbers weren't really necesarry, as KPtech ships all of our modules via USPS and we haven't had any major problems. Please keep in mind that the module has been shipped and there really isn't anything Matt or I can do for the time being. Please be patient and keep us updated!
Thank you,
Kevin

Hello Kevin, thanks for the update...I in no way am suggesting that you are in "control" of what happens at the USPS. It's just frustrating hearing all the good news about your mod by others in this forum while I'm here waiting and waiting and waiting...I WILL update you on the delivery status.
NKyRidge 08-12-2006, 10:45 PM tick tock waiting too
beepbill23 08-13-2006, 03:07 AM Hey pug, ill elaborate: the red 18-22 tend to "cut-off" wires, if in doubt they tend to move or lets just say you had to take teh door apart a few more times, install speakers or whatnot. The red ones tend to cut a little closer possibly ripping wire and giving the wire a weak link and possibly break apart in the future. i use to install stereos and various car audio and video products and most cars/trucks ive installed in, i used the BLUE taps. Ive seen a few installs with Red taps and they complete chopped the door wires in a few months, trying to tap their speakers. now why tapping the speaker wire, versus buying a cheap Wiring Adapter, beats the hell out of me! But anyways, ive had a few bad experiences with Red tapes, so therefore, i use the blue taps. All you really need is a connection. For any reason you had to take the mod off or apart, the blue taps wouldnt EXPOSE the tapped wires as much as the red taps would.

Thanks for the words of encouragement. I'm still waiting as of today. Again I was in the first group to ship; I'm fast approaching 3 weeks of waiting. For all the "regular" posters who ordered from Hondaguy3, please post if you received the mod...it appears there are other members that are waiting...not good.

It shipped on Saturday or you received it on Saturday?
I assure you that these issues have nothing to do with production, as all modules were in stock and delivered as scheduled. Again, once the modules are in the mail there isn't much HondaGuy3 can do for 30 days. After 30 days then action can be taken. Thank you for your continued patience!

gr8daneh 08-16-2006, 04:43 PM Hi guys. I am very interested in this mod. Is there somewhere where I can go to order? TIA
bongus 08-17-2006, 09:44 PM It's finally here!!! Thanks Matt and Kevin for putting up with my paranoia. I will hopefully complete the install this weekend and again thank you Matt for setting up this group buy. Make sure to tell us of any other goodies for our RLs.
kanji 08-17-2006, 09:52 PM I put a similar system in my civic back in 96 and the only thing I hated was that when I pressed the interior lock button on the driver door, the windows would go up. Since the Ridge locks after rolling at 10 mph, would it trigger this module to roll the windows up? I would love to get confirmation that the only way the windows roll up is by pressing the lock button on the remote 2x's and holding it down. Also, do you need to keep the button pressed until the windows close?
thanks.
Wow, this brings back memories when i owned 99 vw Passat, i installed something similar to his module and its great to have, especially if you want to crack the windows without getting back in the car in a hot day or bring up the windows with the key fob remote. Here's the website http://www.packetradio.co.uk/Cars/octavia/alientech.htm
well anyways, good luck on the installation and let us all know if it works.
NKyRidge 08-21-2006, 07:33 PM well I sure hope I get mine soon :( shipped 8.12 (ordered 8.2)

Well, I feel your pain. It took about 3.5 weeks to get mine. I noticed that the address label made for the package was very small. I know most of the machines at the USPS have difficulty reading small labels; in that event, the packages must be sorted by hand...this is what usually causes a delay. In addition, the postage used were conventional stamps instead of metered postage. This too, can cause a delay. Ever since the whole Unabomber thing (way before 9/11) the USPS has been suspicious of packages mailed using multiple stamps. I guess at this point all you can do is wait and like Kevin and Matt has told me numerous times, they can't do anything until 30 days has gone by since your package was mailed...hopefully you do not need to wait that long.

Interesting information.
When ordered directly from KPtech we use padded envelopes with big labels on them, and we (I think) use metered postage. This might help explain why these are taking longer to arrive then units ordered directly from KPtech. We have been shipping them via USPS for 2+ years with hardly any problems at all.
Anyway, thank you all for your continued patience, I believe there is just one person still waiting, and his was shipped out later then other peoples (NKyRidge). On a side note, where exactly are you located NKyRidge? I live in Dayton, but I will be spending this week in Louisville, if you get your module maybe we could meet up for an install party!
bongus 08-22-2006, 12:45 PM The good thing is that Kevin stands by his product and is quick to give answers to our concerns. There some vendors that become dead-beats after the first complaint. I fully believe everyone that ordered a window mod from Matt will receive their mods...and if a problem arises, I feel confident that Kevin will be there to make it right. Kudos to Kevin for standing by his product. BTW Kevin, I have a friend with an Acura TL and he is very interested in this mod for his car...do you make one for the TL?
KPierson 08-22-2006, 01:01 PM As long as it is a newer TL the exact same module will work. They have to be able to lower the windows with the remote like the RL can do in order for the module to work.
Back in '04 when we decided to start KPtechnologies as a legal, legit business both my partner and I stressed that customer service would always be our #1 concern. That's the basis for our money back guarentee and our 'no questions' asked warranty.
Plus, you're getting a module 100% manufactured in the USA! :)
davisjmj 08-22-2006, 03:56 PM As talked about in the mods forum if you are interested in making your windows roll back up with the kptechnologies module we need to get 20 people in on this for the deal at 45 bucks shipped. contact me imediately or reply here.
here is a video of it in action http://www.kptechnologies.com/images/honda/rl/hrl.avi
count me in.

I'm currently in North Chicago ~
I'm still a little confused where it was shipped - home or here. I tried to get it shipped to KY becuase I thought it would ship right after I ordered it, but it shipped later than that so - again unsure. The order form said Great Lakes IL, but I PM'd with the KY address. I didn't have a chance to check mail today on base, but I will tomorrow. I talked to my sis and no new package in KY today.
thx

Who did you order the module from? If you ordered it from HondaRacer3 he should be able to tell you where he shipped it to. If you ordered from www.KPtechnologies.com I can find out where it shipped to.

mugen1 08-24-2006, 08:07 AM Still waiting on mine.
bongus 08-24-2006, 02:33 PM Still waiting on mine.
It will get there...I was one of the waiting as well. It eventually came. I spoke to friend of mine that works at for the USPS and she said that the way the item was labled caused the delay in my shippment. I showed her the package. My particular package had a really small shipping lable and the return address was hand written. Also, stamps instead of metered postage was used. She said that USPS screens for suspicious packages that have a lot of stamps and are handwritten. In addition, if the package cannot be read by a machine it needs to be sorted manual (by hand) and that causes a delay. I believe Matt shipped the mods using the least expensive means...I guess that is one of the reasons why we got a discount.
If somebody would lower the temperature here about 15 degrees or so, I can get mine installed...

rtpjunior 08-25-2006, 01:39 PM ATTENTION EVERYONE !! There is a possible defect with the KP module's wire harness. I was one of the first few who got the module, and the install was simple, exactly as the pics described. It worked perfect until yesterday. I pulled the door panel off, and started troubleshooting. I found the YELLOW wire on the KP module's harness had a problem. Using a small flat screwdriver, I was able to depress the retaining tab and remove the crimp connector from the harness. When I examined it, the crimp only grabbed the insulation of the wire, and had a poor connection to the copper wire. I was able to remove the wire from the crimp connector without damaging it, and solder it back together. Just for kicks, I checked the rest of the wires, and found 2 more that had a similar issue. I removed them all and soldered them. So, examine your modules before installing !!!!! Whomever made this group buy (sorry I forgot your username) may want to contact KP and give them a heads up.......

Great observation...gives me another reason to open the RL. It's weird that you had it working all this time...I guess vibration and such will cause wires to loosen up over time. More reason to solder than crimp.
KPierson 08-25-2006, 03:39 PM All of our wire harnesses are hand crimped (by me). This is the first I've heard of any wiring harness issues. The crimp is designed to catch the insulation, as its a two part connector. There is a smaller part at the front of the crimp that should grab roughly 1/8" of copper.
I appologize if your harness was messed up, and it would be covered under our warranty had you not fixed it yourself!
KPierson 08-25-2006, 05:14 PM I totally understand your frustration. When the package does arrive it will be post marked, so you can verify the shipping date. As I did not ship the package I have no idea when it actually shipped. I have spoken with Matt and we'll definately get something worked out. Please check your PM box for a message from him.
As I've said before KPtechnologies has shipped 1000+ modules via USPS with problems being few and far between, and usually involving Western states (California more specifically).
Also, remember that this was a group buy ran by an individual, not a company or business, and not KPtechnologies. Matt chose to ship via USPS on my recomendation. We recomended this method to keep costs down and to give a better over all discount. Anyway you look at it shipping without a tracking number is much cheaper then with, and this cost would have been passed on to the members of this forum. Hindsight is 20/20 but if you wanted a tracking number I'm positive that Matt would have gotten you one, for an extra fee.
Please realize that we haven't been ignoring you at all. I am well aware of your situation, and it will be taken care of one way or another. However, as posted in this thread, neither me nor Matt can do anything until Sep. 12th (30 days after ship date). Also, as posted in this thread, mistakes may have been made in the packaging that could have slowed down shipment (I'm golnig to check on this with our shipping agent next time I'm in there). Again, the individual organizing this deal had no way of knowing this would happen.
If you do return the module to Matt and you're ever in the Dayton area let me know and I'll personally install one for you at the group buy price.
Thank you,
Kevin

It’s now 8.25 13+ days and counting for shipping.
I find it hard to believe it takes more than a week to ship to Northern KY, 10 miles south of Cincinnati or if it was shipped to North Chicago, more than 7 days to deliver from Dayton, Ohio. (Confusion of actuall ship location) But, I have verified both locations on a daily basis - ZIP
Please refund my $$ to my Amex - point blank, I'm tired of waiting. I've learned my lesson, I'll only order if a seller ships via a traceable service. Thanks to 5SDude who takes the time to ensure prompt traceable delivery. Happy customer.
Hopefully ‘they’ (Who is this company anyway), will improve upon this quickly. It would also help cool my jets if someone cared enough about the customer to follow-up to see if I had received my package. But, I guess if you have my money and your happy then who cares.
Sorry if I offend, but I’m tired of waiting for nothing. While my cash spent renders me no product. Not to mention the lack of customer service. Maybe its best to order via the regular site - not sure.
You need to talk to 5SDude – he does it right. Not to mention HandA, Majestic, Bernardi.

Thanks for the reply. I did see that the crimp catches the insulation as well as the conductor. It looked like the wire wasn't stripped back enough to catch the front crimp. Anyway, the module is an excellent product, I just wanted to let people know before they completed their install to give the harness a quick look....
NKyRidge 08-25-2006, 09:47 PM sent PM back. thx
Hello, I live in the central valley too. I would suggest working early in the morning and you should be good to go.
Actually, this is the desert in SE Cali, about sea level and 9 billion degrees in the summer. I lived in the central valley until I was 21, and it's no comparison.
Last night we finally had a semi-cool (for here) breeze, so I opened the garage and installed the module about 1am. Works great. Thanks, guys.
NKyRidge 09-02-2006, 03:29 PM As of tomorrow - it will be one month since my order
18 days as of today for shipping.
I sent a PVT for hondaguy last week, no response.
STILL NO MODULE ~ and I'm back in KY for a week before I leave for more 'military' activities (if I tell you have I have - well, you know the drill). Fortunate, I return to North Chicago, (damn I told you –if you read this, fall to the floor – ok you can get up), where it was shipped (I think), they can't tell me where they shipped it for sure (after asking 3 times) so hopefully it will show up at the base when I return next week. I'm unsure if I'll even have time before I leave the country for year, to even install it.
I was so excited about the product. Now, I could really care less. It irritates me that sellers are quick to get you to pay for their items at time purchase, (which is the standard), but are so lax in shipping and follow-up. As you can see above they had my money for a full 2 weeks prior to shipping. (Not far in my opinion). Just because I drive the RL I am not made of money- ha
I wish the MOD Gods would create a seller agreement for this forum. Or if it is created let the users of this forum see it so we can determine if it fits our needs.
I've learned my lesson. I won't order in the future unless the seller sends via a UPS or FEDEX etc. 2 reasons protect both parties.
I'm glad those who have it enjoy it. I would caution anyone in the future on ordering unless a tracking number is given for shipping.
Oh well, life is still good - I'm alive and well as is family and forum members. This whole module thing just rubs me the wrong way. Working in customer service in my professional life, doesn't help in any way. I always tell my self, well I sure wouldn’t do it this way etc... I’m my own JD Powers.
Well, if it comes after I leave; it will just sit - just like my ridge will be in semi storage - only driven once a week or for a vacation by my sis.
Oh, gas here was 2.44 today – fill her up!
SSquire 09-02-2006, 03:52 PM Module installed, runs like a champ. (Just don't forget to close the door or cheat and push the door pin in before testing... don't ask how I know :o )
NKyRidge 09-02-2006, 04:39 PM Wow
This Kevin Pierson guy - top notch!
He lives in Dayton and wants to give me one and even install it - now that is service I say - SERVICE :D
Well, when I get that little missing MOD I'll send it back. But I still think rules and regs is a good idea to protect both parties as well as each understanding expectations!
Remember to be safe this weeeknd driving the RL - the trip back from Chicago was pretty easy - traffic heading IN on the other hand - YUK
SSquire 09-02-2006, 10:44 PM before I leave for more 'military' activities (if I tell you have I have - well, you know the drill).
Be safe! (and you can tell, just not out here in the clear... ;) )
bongus 09-04-2006, 05:07 PM Thanks for the reply. I did see that the crimp catches the insulation as well as the conductor. It looked like the wire wasn't stripped back enough to catch the front crimp. Anyway, the module is an excellent product, I just wanted to let people know before they completed their install to give the harness a quick look....
Great call rtpjunior. I found one of the wires were crimped so hard that both the insulation and conductor were cut. I soldered it back and verified the connections of the other wires. Be safe and check.
UPDATE: Just finished the install. Thank you to all the past posters, your suggestions and tips proved invaluable. Other than the misstep with the bad conductor, everything went well. The actual module works as described and I'm very happy with it. As a reminder...check your wires on the connector to the module. You need to remove each one and inspect the crimp and make sure the connections are true...I tugged each one of the wires. This simple process will solve you plenty of headaches.
Bubba D 09-05-2006, 05:29 PM Is there anyone else out there waiting for the mod?
Or am I the only one left?
I am not one to complain just wondering if I am with company or alone.
It is almost a month now well 30 days tomorrow from what hondaguy3 said.
just hope I get it soon

Mine arrived in a little over 3 weeks. I too was worried because most of the items I orderd from the east usually arrives after 5 days. I was assured by Hondguy3 that he could not do anything until the 30 day time arrived. I guess at that point he would contact USPS and see what they would do. I really think the problem everyone has had with the shipping of this mod is the way it was packaged. I don't want to be too critical because Hondaguy3 (Matt) was nice enough to arrange the deal but, a padded envelope with a very small address label just was not a good way to ship these things (that's how my mod arrived to me). I know people that work at the USPS and they mentioned that the packaging is probably what caused the delay. If I were you Bubba D, contact Hondaguy3 (Matt) and hopefully he will do the right thing.

I'm still waiting. Canadian Customs probably thinks it's a part needed for a bomb or something. I will definitely be the last to get one.

If I had to wait 3 weeks for my module...I could imagine how long it would take for a Canada shippment. I'm not sure how your postal service works but our system here is mainly automated so anything that the machines can't read will be delayed. Mugen1 don't forget to confirm the integrity of the connectors, I and another member had an issue with the wires...it will save you a lot of headaches.

lgmendez 09-10-2006, 11:41 AM I got mine through Hondaguy3 and finally got a chance to install it a month later. I have to say, I love this thing. So convenient. Now if I could only get Honda to upgrade the lock unlock box on my truck, I'd be set! I hate it that only the driver's door unlocks. As soon as the mod is available for the rear window and sunroof, sign me up!!!!!
beepbill23 09-10-2006, 03:04 PM What do you mean " the driver's door unlocks?" If you unlock with the unarm button by pushing it once, it unlocks the driver's side, but hit it a 2nd time and it unlocks the rest of the Doors to the ridge. If that's what you mean, here is your solution. Now, if you are talking about when turning off your truck when placing in park and turning your key, and only your driver side unlocks, refer to the manual about unlock/lock settings. You can set the truck to unlock driver's door(factory setting) or all doors by either turning truck off, or simply by putting it in Park.
hope this is what you were looking for.

I was talking about when you put it in park. Since my Ridge was an early production, it has the outdated module and does not let me change that setting. I have to replace a fuse box a24 or something like that.

There are detailed discussions on replacing the module. Some members were lucky enough to have their Honda dealers install the module at no charge while others had to pay to have it installed. If you do a search you will find a lot of information on the subject.

Well, let me first thank Kevin for installing the module for me, as well as using one of his own modules - it was a snap gettting it installed - but as Kevin is a 'thinker' and his mind always running full speed - and thats a good thing too.
After 2 full hours of tinkering and adding a relay to the system, this genius did an awsome thing!!
When I click to roll up my windows my - should I tell you???
My REAR WINDOW CLOSES TOO  and thats a awsome thing!!!
Its a great thing - perfect.
Kevin is an awsome guy with a great company with great minds. I want to thank him for all the extra work on this - he would try somethiing and it wouldn't work, try something esle, run back down to the basement and try it again - but on the 4th try and 2 hours later and an added realy it worked. :p
My advise, order via KP Technologies their family business will ensure timely shipment.
Kevin thanks again!! You went way beyond customer service - I'm a very happy customer!
Enjoy the new house - it looks great!

bongus 09-12-2006, 10:52 AM I guess the next question is: For those with the window mod, how can we make it close rear sliding window? Also, if you do the "window down" function with the key remote does the rear window also open? I am very interested in this mod if is possible with the current mod...please advise Kevin.
Wow! That IS awesome!
Now... you KNOW we'll ALL be EXPECTING the wiring details in a future post, don't you!? heh-heh! :p
I mean... c'mon Kev!!!... No playin' "favorites" here on the ROC!!
Did I mention how much I'm enjoying the Mod you so ingeniously manufactured!!!??? ...shameless, just shameless... :D
KPierson 09-12-2006, 11:24 AM Well, there is good news and bad news about this. The good news is that the interface to control the rear window is very simple (it's just a blue/white wire that needs to be cut and ran through a relay). The bad news is that I could not get the relay to work with the window module, without modifying the window module. As NKyRidge stated, I tried about 4 differnt ways to make the window module close the door windows and the back windows from the one output but I couldn't get it to work correctly.
So, my final attempt was to utilize a spare output on the circuit board and add a few lines of code to the processor. To use the spare output I had to add some hardware, and obviously a different 'brain'. The final modifications consisted of adding a transistor, two resistors, a diode, and an external relay.
I would love to be able to add this feature to existing modules, but it would probably involve some board soldering (we would send the parts needed, but you would have to add them to the board). All the soldering is through hole soldering and is actually pretty easy to do, if you have a soldering iron.
Who all would be interested in upgrading to add the back window?
I'm kinda handy... If you'd supply the parts and a bit of coaching, I'd be VERY interested! :)
I'd even toss ya a few bucks for the parts and the trouble.
Shipping shouldn't be an issue as the small parts could probably be shipped regular mail?
Deal? ;)
Pug

Kevin

Oops! A fly in the solder flux! I Forgot 'bout dat. Would it involve a return?
cer0z 09-12-2006, 12:05 PM i would be very interested in gettin the mod to close the rear slider too...im holding of on gettin the mod for now only because im not going to instal it until i replace the door speakers too im only taking them door panels off 1 time so im gonna get it all done in 1 shot...please please do another group buy
The module has a custom programmed microcontroller that can be field upgraded.
The above post is for easy reference, Kevin... I don't know what would be involved in the "upgrade".
If you feel it would be OK for us to "mess with" your "baby"... I can personally assure you that I'd handle it with kid gloves.
It'suppa to you!
KPierson 09-12-2006, 01:11 PM The upgraded chip would be supplied with the parts. If we do offer something like this it would include everything (new processor, components, wiring, and relay, with a guide on what goes where and which direction.
There would have to be a charge associated with the upgrade, as the chip and relay cost us money. Due to the size of the relay we would have to ship in a padded envelope, like we do all of our other modules. I will have to get with KPtech's business guy to see how/if he wants to do this, and about how much it will cost.
We, then, will most likely offer the upraded module for a small charge if bought from us with the added hardware.
It's definatly cool to see the back window close with the others!

mugen1 09-22-2006, 06:14 PM Should I start to be concerned that my module has not arrived yet?
Being in Canada, I knew it would take longer than normal, but I think it should have made it here by now.
There's probably no tracking info on it, either. I don't think USPS and Canada Post share tracking info.
I should have had the item shipped to a shipping address in Sumas, Wa. It's only 20 minutes from work.
Oh well, live and learn. I'll pm hondaguy3 and see if he can do something from his end to see what happened with the package. I did use PayPal, so maybe I can get reimbursed for the payment. Never had to deal with missing stuff before. I just don't want to make hondaguy3 look bad, because it ain't his fault.
bongus 09-22-2006, 08:31 PM Mugen1, when I saw your post, I was hoping to congratulate you on the nice install. Sorry to hear you have not received it yet. I think it is valid for you to be worried at this point. I would also notify Kevin with KP Technologies, maybe he can do something for you. Again, I feel Hondaguy3 did not intend for this to happen but I believe his packing technique for this group buy was not well thought out IMO. There were a few things that could have been done better which would not have added to costs and we/you would not be in this predicament. I wish you luck because I hate to see the "good guys" get screwed.
KPierson 09-22-2006, 08:49 PM I, too, would be a little concerned. Please contact HondaGuy3 and see if you can get an exact ship date so we know when it went out.
Sorry it's taking so long!
I sent a note asking about the module to Matt (Hondaguy3) at the beginning of July and got a response immediately. I sent him my payment via PayPal and have not heard a word since. I sent a couple PMs and an e-mail with no luck. >2months later and I am not too optomistic.
If anyone knows something I don't know, drop me a line.
bongus 09-22-2006, 11:12 PM WAS, if you have not received your mod after two months and you live in CA, I would be very worried. I live in Northern Cal and it took almost one month to get my mod. I thought that was too long for something shipped from the midwest. It looks like you have tried contacting Matt...I'm not sure what you can do from here. Kevin seems pretty quick to read these posts and has been known to help members of this forum directly. It's too bad some members have had a bad experience with the "middle man" because the product is great. Kevin, if you're out there...give these guys some words of wisdom.

If people still havn't gotten their module I would like to be contacted directly. I'm honestly in a bad spot in this deal because I have no records of who purchased modules and when they were purchased. I feel that I should take care of all of our customers, but in this case I don't know who our customers are. I'm going to get with Matt and see if I can get him to send me a list of exactly who paid and when they paid. Once I have that list then I'll be able to handle the situation a little better.
bongus 09-22-2006, 11:46 PM Kevin...you are the man! More vendors should follow your creedo. If any of the Mods are reading this thread (TMac specifically), you should consider giving Kevin's company an honorary mention as an outstanding vendor. Luckily for me, I received my mod but I have no doubts that if something goes wrong with it in the future, the manufacturer will be there to make it right. Way to go Kevin!
NKyRidge 09-23-2006, 07:51 AM Agree totally ~
Kevin is gerat! IF anyone reads this thread ENSURE you only purchase directly from KP not the group guy contact (in my opinion)
Kevin is very easy to deal with and always keeps the customer first! :)

nkyridge - with the only module that closes the rear slider  :p :D
auditude 09-23-2006, 10:36 AM I'll be looking at getting one of those window modules once the new one comes out that includes the rear window function. It would be cool if it opened the rear window when opening the rest upon disarm/entry, as well as closing the rear with the others when arming/locking. I hope the price doesn't drift too high as a result however.

Are you sure the new version will have that added feature? I have not heard that Kevin will integrat that feature on a new mod.
auditude 09-23-2006, 11:21 AM Are you sure the new version will have that added feature? I have not heard that Kevin will integrat that feature on a new mod.
I'm not sure, no. But I'm more likely to look into getting one if it does. Re-reading the earlier posts about it, it sounds like it may (continue to be offered as) an add-on modification to the existing version. That's less appealing to me, but I can understand if that's what form it may take. If the module is the same for many applications, then a fifth window might not be a common requirement (although it might be usable for a sunroof).
I guess it depends on how clean it is. If it's a separate little box in addition to the main box, then I would prefer that to some external, relatively loose, parts that are wired into the circuit. I'm just going to wait to see how far the development goes, now that the rear window feature has been identified by the market as desirable.
I'd like the ability to include rear window opening along with opening all the windows while holding down the unlock button after the second press. An all-windows down function while inside the car would be cool too. :) But I'm making a wish list now...

I see you live in Canada. I have heard of and experienced nightmares trying to get something shipped to Canada. When I was on my honeymoon in Canada, my BMW's radiator took a dump on me. BMW parts are ridicously expensive up north so I had one shipped from California for half the price including shipping. It was supposed to arrive in 2 days but long story short, it got to the hotel nearly a month after it was sent. By the time it arrived I was home and back to work. I was told it was stuck in customs as a suspicious package. I ended up going up to Hamilton Ontario and spending $500 Canadian for the radiator. Thank the Lord that putting a radiator in a 540i is the easiest job on earth. I put it in the car in the hotel parking lot at Niagara Falls. There aren't even any transmission cooling lines on it. I had the old one out before I went to Hamilton and put the new one in about 20 minutes while my wife loaded up the luggage.
I wouldn't be surprized if your little black box is sitting on the same shelf that my radiator was sitting on in customs. I'm sure that if they ran it thru the scanner, it looked an awful lot like a detonator. You may never see it.

I had a no-duh moment today. It's probably in the instructions or posted somewhere, but I accidently discovered the up feature is not like the stock down feature. My finger slipped off the lock button while the windows were on the way up. They continued! Full automatic all four windows! :) I just ass-umed they were like the stock down.

There is no need to hold the button down at all. In fact, if you push the 'LOCk' button a third time (after the windows start moving) they will instantly stop, so you can leave them vented, if you wish.

Mugen1, it looks like Kevin (with KP Technologies) has contacted Matt (Hondaguy3). If Matt gives Kevin the correct list then I think your mod will be there soon...it think Kevin is taking over now.
On a side note, I spoke with HondaGuy3 tonight. Hopefully tomorrow I'll have the entire list of who paid and when.

According to Kevin, Matt sent out all the orders. Nothing more was said or implied. I don't expect Kevin to go out of his way. It was a group buy that went bad.
I tried to resolve it through PayPal, but they have a 45 day limitation. I tried to e-mail Matt and it looks like his account has been deactivated. My bad for not being more careful. Should always pay extra for shipping insurance. Especially when shipping across the border. Oh well, live and learn...
bongus 10-03-2006, 06:19 PM I tried to e-mail Matt and it looks like his account has been deactivated.
Based on what you said above, I think this thread should read *DEAD* or CLOSED. For all those interested in a group buy for the window mod...no go here. Looks like our contact has "left the building". Congrats to all who received their mods. For those still interested, you can buy directly from Kevin and I'm sure he will take care of you. As a side, sorry about your experience Mugen1...I too have been taken before (not here but on eBay). It's one of the risks we deal with online purchases.
mugen1 10-04-2006, 12:13 AM It's one of the risks we deal with online purchases.
Yep. Stuff happens. I've been real lucky up until this point.
akaxmrxhammer 10-04-2006, 02:25 AM i'm sorry to hear that the deal went sour. i've contacted that person for this gb and thank god he didn't reply back to take my money. i'm very interested in this product, but the question is... will this module work with aftermarket alarm system. i guess i have to worry about this after i get my baby out the body shop. i got into an accident because someone decided it was safe to make a left turn when it wasn't. wish me good luck with the repairs. i miss my RL already. *sigh*

joeherr
WAS
I pmed you hondaguy3's phone number
I didn't want to post it here but if he owes us something we should be able to contact him
All I get is voicemail now. (so his phone is still on)
I talked to him twice
once he said he would send another with a tracking #
and the other when I tried to get the tracking # and he was on vacation with our money.
call him if we bug him enough at least we my get a refund so we can buy one from KP
bongus 10-05-2006, 05:42 PM It looks like there were only four that did not receive their mods. I really believe that Matt was not out to take our money and run. I believe his choice of mailing was the problem. I understand his intent was to save money but unfortunately, some packages were lost in shipment.
Bubba D 10-05-2006, 08:42 PM You got yours
I was told by Matt that he sent mine on 7 Aug
Then I was told he sent another with a tracking # in mid Sept
He didn't have the tracking #
He said he sent it in a PM
He hasn't been on here since Last Activity: 08-25-2006 03:15 PM
he can't send a PM without being logged in
No I don't believe that his intent was to take the money and run
But I also don't believe my two packages got lost.
Bubba D 10-10-2006, 05:17 PM KPierson did you ever get the info from hondaguy3?
Did he give you the tracking# he told me he had ?
He strung us on long enough so paypal couldn't help us.
He won't answer any calls now.
NKyRidge 10-10-2006, 10:56 PM Well, still no package delivery to KY.
I've contacted AMEX and disputed the charge - maybe they can 'wake' "Mr take our money and run"
KP was very nice to install one for me at his cost and time - aka I'm sending him the 45 bucks! :)
lineridgejohn 10-12-2006, 10:08 AM Hey, is this stil availble, can I get one of these?
Bubba D 10-12-2006, 10:30 AM do not try the group buy pay the full price
You need to contact Kevin at KP Technologies.

bongus 10-12-2006, 04:28 PM Ditto Bubba's reply...deal directly with the manufacturer...unless you are a risk taker.
Bubba D 10-12-2006, 09:45 PM I am not sure if it was the multiple phone calls or what but my mod came today shipped 11 Oct next day air via DHL.
I really hope everyone gets theirs.
bongus 10-12-2006, 09:49 PM Glad to hear you got it. What's the old saying?...the squeaky wheel gets the grease.
mugen1 10-13-2006, 12:03 AM Maybe I need to squeak more...
Bubba D 10-14-2006, 01:47 AM Mine was more like a ringing than a squeak :D

Quit rubbing it in......... that's it, I'm gonna PM KPierson right now and see what he can do for me. argggg.......
Glad it worked out for you. I wonder what happened with the remaining people who did not receive their window mod.
Bubba D 10-15-2006, 03:54 PM I'm gonna PM KPierson right now and see what he can do for me. argggg.......
I kept calling Matt (hondaguy3) a couple times a day. KPierson just makes them Matt is the one that you need to contact.
geotech 10-30-2006, 04:44 PM I'm not rubbing it in, really, but I discovered that the KP "up" function also works on the door button too! Hit it once, pause and hit it again and hold and they all go up. Discovered this while cleaning the panel area! Startled me.
The stock "down" function door button doesn't do that. FOB only.
bongus 10-30-2006, 05:08 PM Cool find GeoTech. Another reason to tinker with the RL.
KPierson 11-02-2006, 11:16 AM OK, I've given up on hearing back from Matt. At this point, as much as I hate to say it, I would say a few people were cheated out of their money.
So, at this point I have no list to prove who paid and who didn't pay in the first place. I figure by now, any person who hasn't recieved their module has contacted me. If they haven't contacted me by now then there isn't anything I can do for them. I believe only Mugen1 and WAS are left without modules. If I missed anyone please let me know (and have proof that you contacted me regarding a missing module).
Because KPtech did not run this groupbuy I can't simply replace the modules. However, what i can do is offer to replace your module at a heavily discounted price.
Some people have questioned my relationship with Matt (HondaGuy3) and I feel that the least I can do is explain how I know Matt. I met him several years ago through a local car forum. He volunteered his Accord Coupe for some test installs. I provided him free modules and labor in exchage for letting me use his car. I also installed a window roll up module, absolutely free, for him in his sisters Accord sedan.
Right before this group buy started, Matt contacted me and let me know that he just got a RL. He asked if my module would work on the RL. He came to my house that day for a (free) test install. As you all know, the install went well. Matt told me he knew of a few RL forums that he could post information on. He then inquired about reselling the modules. KPtechnologies sold him ~25 modules at a discounted price, which he then offered to members of this site. Without a list, it is impossible to know how many he acutally sold. Maybe he sold 22, maybe he sold 32, I don't know. I've contacted him several times and every time he has assured me that the modules will show up. In 3 years of shipping modules directly, KPtechnologies has 'lost' 2 modules. In both cases there was considerable evidence that the customer was trying to take advantage of KPtechnologies. And, in both cases, KPtechnologies gave the customer the benefit of the doubt and replaced the module. My point is, that at this point, I'm more then skeptical that FOUR modules were lost in the mail in one group purchase (NKyRidge, WAS, Mugen, and Bubba D).
Although it was out of my hands, I appologize to the two members who still have not recieved anything for their purchase. Again, please contact me and we'll set something up and get this. Please understand that from our end, KPtechnologies needed time to verify as much as possible (which, in the end, ended up to be nothing, but we still tried!). If anyone has any questions about anything don't hesitate to PM me.
Once this is group buy is finally finished KPtechnologies looks forward to working directly with members of RidgelineOwnersClub.com on future direct deals.
Thank you all and please accept my appologies for this disapointing group buy,
Kevin Pierson

bongus 11-02-2006, 11:43 AM Hello Kevin, thank you for stepping up to the plate to address this problem. You've been very proactive in addressing the problems with this group buy. I still believe that Matt did not have intentions of misleading members on this forum. I believe his biggest mistake was choosing the way he packaged the modules. I showed the package I received to my friend that works at the USPS and she confirmed that it was poorly packaged and it is not surprising that some packages were lost. I personally waited about 3 weeks before my module showed up (we're talking Ohio to California). If Matt would've packaged it differently I think I would not be posting this right now.
In regards to your product, it has worked flawlessly and still does. I'm still jealous that NKYRidge got the "special" module....hint, hint. Kevin, I think if you are willing to advertise in this forum, you will make a killing on your mod. I attended one of the meets and many members were very intrigued with the mod. What made them even more interested was I told them it only took me half and hour to install. They thought I had to change the window motors or something involved like that.
Again Kevin, I'm sure I speak for some members here, thank you for backing your product and if you ever need a beta tester in the future...send me a PM.
Bubba D 11-02-2006, 03:16 PM My PayPal went through on August 2nd and I haven't gotten anything yet.
KP,
I don't know if he contacted you or if he received anything since.
He is not very active here only 3 posts and 2 were on this thread.
bongus 11-02-2006, 05:00 PM I know you had to wait for your's, Bubba. How long did it take again?
Bubba D 11-02-2006, 11:11 PM I paid Aug 4
He said it shipped the 7th
never got it
called early Sept he said he would send another with a tracking #
called about a week later to get the tracking number he was on vacation didn't have the # with him
Called and called and called and called and called and called and called and called and called and called and called and called and called and called .....
It came on 12 Oct next day air via DHL shipped 11 Oct
So it only took one day to come if you look on the bright side of things:)

Hello Kevin, does the sunroof module work with the Ridgeline?
KPierson 11-05-2006, 09:14 PM I'm not sure. Can you give me some details on how the sunroof works in the Ridgeline? The TSX and Accord both have three separate buttons (open, close, tilt).
Thanks,
Kevin

It's the same as the Accord setup as far as having seperate buttons. Just like the sliding window.

Hope this helps:
Moonroof Open Relay: Wire colors--GRN/YEL, GRN, GRN/BLU, BLK and GRN/WHT
Moonroof Close Relay: Wire colors--GRN/BLK, GRN, GRN/WHT, BLK and GRN/WHT
The moonroof switch consists of 3 buttons and the connector appears to be a 6 PIN connector.
I think these are the wires connected to the switch:
PIN 1: LT GRN/BLK
PIN 2: RED
PIN 3: BLK
PIN 4: GRN/ORN
PIN 5: RED/BLK
PIN 6: GRY/BLU
The Tilt function is related to PIN 4
The Close function is related to PIN 1
The Open function is related to PIN 6
PIN 5 is related to the illumination of the switch.
Hope this helps Kevin. This would be great if you could figure something out.
bongus 11-05-2006, 10:57 PM Kevin, I read your instructions on how to install the sunroof mod on a TSX. It appears that the switch and wire colors are exactly the same on the Ridgeline as it is on the TSX. Also, the functions that the wires control are exactly the same. I installed your window up mod on my RL (I'm sure you probably remember me). I live in CA so I'm not lucky enough to easily come by and pay you a visit. I would be willing to be a "beta" tester (maybe alpha since it has not been tried on an RL) for this mod. It would be nice to open or tilt the moon roof with the OEM key fob remote.
If this seems okay, send me a PM; I would detail my install with pics and a written description.
bongus 11-07-2006, 10:37 AM Just wanted to keep this post on top...Kevin are you there? Any response to my post?
KPierson 11-07-2006, 10:54 AM It would be nice to open or tilt the moon roof with the OEM key fob remote.
The sunroof module does NOT allow you to open or close the sunroof from the OEM keyfob. This module simply adds the 'one touch' feature that allows to fully open and close the sunroof without holding the button down.
We have thrown around the idea of making a remote sunroof module, but it has not been developed as of yet.
bongus 11-07-2006, 12:41 PM Hello Kevin, Now I see what the mod does...I'm still interested. Do you want me to test it out? What do you think of the wiring information I posted?

When you are ready to test something, let me know. I am often in Dayton on business and can make myself and my truck available for testing with notice.
PS. I showed my dealer my remote windows up feature after they said it couldn't be done. If I only had taken a picture of their faces.

Hi geotech,
I tried to get mine to do this a buncha times, a buncha different ways, but can't get it to work. When you mention "the door button", you're speaking of the driver's windows-up button, right?
I'm probably assuming something, or doing something wrong. Is there a "technique" here that I'm missing?
The "windows-up" works fine with the fob, every time.
DOH!! Wait-a-minute!!! Oh man! I should be tryin' the LOCK BUTTON, right?!!
Sheesh! It just came to me. I'll try it later.
nevermind... :o
Thanks,
Pug
bongus 11-13-2006, 03:19 PM Same issue here, Pug. I can't seem to get the "window up" like geo. If you figure it out please post.

All doors need to be closed, and you need to hit the 'LOCK' button on the door twice (just like you do on your keyfob).
If a door is open I don't believe it will work. If the ignition is switched on it won't work either.
bongus 11-13-2006, 04:17 PM KP, you da man...it worked. Thanks.

Mine works with the door open too.
Personal apology to Pug for assuming that everyone could read my mind. You know what they say about "assume"............
Same issue here, Pug. I can't seem to get the "window up" like geo. If you figure it out please post.
uh-oh!
The fob doesn't roll'em'up now, either. I must have a loose wire or somethin'. I'll hafta check it out tomorrow. Darn it. I hadn't used it for about a week and was assuming it was still working as flawlessly as always.
Now where'd I put that clip tool... probably an easy fix... no problems with the doors locking/unlocking... "beeps" when fob button is pushed twice, but no action...
Thanks for the clarification, KP... will post after fix.
Pug
Well... didn't have to go digging into my door, after all... just had some "weird" circumstances (I think)... bear with me here...
My "Windows UP" works (with keyfob and/or master door lock switch) :
-- with the key out of the ignition.
-- with the key in the ignition. (position "OFF", and position "I")
-- with driver's door open or closed.
-- while seated in the driver's seat...
However... (while seated)... if I turn the key to position "II", "Windows UP" will not work. EVEN IF I REMOVE THE KEY AFTER I'VE HAD IT IN POSITION "II", IT WILL NOT WORK. "Windows down" (with the keyfob) will not work, either...
I had to vacate the driver's seat and allow the RL's alarm to arm (10 "long" blinks, then "short" blinking of the red LED on the driver's door) to get the desired result.
If I remained seated, and allowed the RL's alarm to arm, I was unable to use the keyfob to lower or raise the windows (from inside the truck), and also was unable to use the lock switch to raise the windows.
Does this mean there's a sensor in the seat? Or is something simply "reset" upon opening/closing the door? Alot of stuff goin' on here...
So... as KP posted, "If the ignition is switched on it won't work either."
EVEN IF THE KEY IS REMOVED AFTERWARDS.
These findings are related to MY RL.
Can someone tell me if they're able to use the "Windows UP" function without first having the alarm armed (after removing the key) on THEIR RL?
I think this was my problem when I was failing while trying to get it to work.
Oh!... just a "tip" for those trying to use the master door lock to roll-up their windows... DO NOT TRY IT WITH THE KEY IN THE "ON (II) POSITION! If you turn the key to the "LOCK" position within five (5) seconds after messing with the door lock switch, you COULD alter your "ALL DOOR UNLOCK after placing the shift lever in PARK" function. :o
Oh well... no "biggee". All is good,
Pug :)
bongus 11-17-2006, 11:03 AM Keep posted on this forum...I will be doing the Sunroof mod tomorrow. I should have pictures and a detailed description tomorrow evening. I'll post it in the "how to section"
bongus 11-19-2006, 10:25 PM UPDATE: The imaginative folks at KP Technologies has come up with another useful mod for our RLs. Kevin was nice enough to let me be the "beta tester" for his sunroof mod. What exactly is a sunroof mod, you ask? Well as you know from this thread, KP Tech already has a window-up mod...very useful indeed. The sunroof mod behaves somewhat like the auto down and up button on the driver's side window. Currently, to close, open or tilt the moon roof, one must keep the desired button depressed to close, open or tilt the moon roof. The sunroof mod allows the moon roof to fully open, close or tilt with two quick presses of the desired S/R button. KP Technologies developed a S/R mod for the Acura TSX and after discussions with Kevin I found that the RL S/R wiring was very similiar to the TSX so, I've documented the install with pics and a written description...I can safely tell everyone...IT WORKS!!! Thanks to Kevin at KP Technologies for entrusting me with his mod and all the support he gave...I'm not lucky enough to live close to Kevin so he gave me the tools to make this work. Here it is:
The first pic is the RL sunroof control. To access the wiring, the dash cover needs to be removed. I did not go in detail on this step but there is a lot of information pertaining to this task...do a search.
The second pic shows the connector of the sunroof control...it's the green one. The blue one is the dimmer control connector.
The third pic shows the location I chose for the KP Technologies module...it's in the center of the pic. You can pick any area. I used some heavy duty velcro to secure the mod.
The fourth pic shows the tape around the S/R connector pulled so that I can do some cutting and splicing. :)
The fifth pic show the first cut I made. This wire contols the opening of the S/R (Pin 6)
bongus 11-19-2006, 10:25 PM Continued:
The sixth pic shows the connection between the connector and the module. As you can see there are two green wires soldered (I chose to solder my connections just in case) to the connector. one of those wires is for a diode. Kevin told me that the diodes are needed if you want use the mod's tilt function. If you decide not to use the diode then the mod will only work opening and closing. I did not verify this (I installed the diodes) but I trust what Kevin is saying.
The seventh pic shows the heat shrink tube covering the soldered connections.
The eighth pic shows the all the connections made to the opening and closing wires (Pin 6 and Pin 1, respectively), involving the diodes. There are two more connection to be made at the connector but they do not involve cutting wires. All you need to do with the remaining two wire is splice into them. I will describe which wires go where later.
The ninth pic shows the wires organized and back together. I used a wire loom to secure the wires...it also makes the install look cleaner.
I then tucked the loom back into the side of the gauge cluster...everything fit nicely.
The only other connection that needed to be made is a 12V connection (active with ignition); the mod needs it for power. I used the power from the center power plug...again I will not describe how to do this since it has been done before...do a search. I guess any 12V source will do. Kevin suggested using the 12V source at the steering wheel column.
Here are the wiring specifics:
PIN 1: Lt GRN/BLK
PIN 2: RED
PIN 3: BLK
PIN 4: GRN/ORN
PIN 5: RED/BLK
PIN 6: GRY/BLU
The open function is at PIN 6. The close function is at PIN 1. The tilt function is at PIN 4.
Here are the connections needed for the mod:
Green mod wire connects to the RL's GRY/BLU wire. Blue mod wire connects to the RL's Lt GRN/BLK wire. Purple mod wire connects to the RL's GRN/ORN wire. Black mod wire connects to the RL's BLK wire (this is the ground wire). Yellow mod wire connects to a 12V source that is active with the ignition. So I hope this instructional is useful. I would say it would take less than 30 minutes. It took me about 40 minutes...I can't solder that quickly. If you decide to use T-taps and such it will make things quicker...I'm paranoid so that's why soldered the wiring. It was a fun project...what's next Kevin. I'm still waiting for the back sliding window mod.
Lingered_I 11-19-2006, 11:07 PM That's a cool mod. So is the module available?
bongus 11-19-2006, 11:13 PM Yes...just send Kevin a PM he'll take care of you. I believe he had a bundled price on the Acura TSX forum for the Window up mod and the Sun roof mod. Check out this link. (http://www.acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?p=5101307#post5101307) I guess you can ask him if he is willing to do the same for us here on the ROC. Just a few words about Kevin. If you are a reader of this thread, you can see there were issues with the OP that arranged the group buy for the window up mod (some members did not receive the mods). Kevin stepped up to the plate and covered the members that were left out in the cold by the OP...Kevin did not have to do that but his actions says a lot of what type of person he is and I'm sure he runs his company similarly.
Lingered_I 11-19-2006, 11:22 PM Thanks. I got the window module, so guess I was one of the lucky ones.
Do you know if Kevin has any plans to hook the sunroof mod to the window mod so that the roof will close off the key?
bongus 11-19-2006, 11:27 PM I asked Kevin about that...he said they are working on it but it would be a much more involved install. His company's objective is to make functional mods but they must be easily installed. It would be neat to control the sun roof using the key fob...I expressed this thought to Kevin.
ChrisM 11-20-2006, 06:13 AM I don't know if this has been mentioned but I cannot use my windows up function if I leave on my headlights after I remove the key. Is anyone else having the same result?
bongus 11-20-2006, 09:12 AM I have not noticed that issue, I will try it today. I have DRL, not sure if that makes a difference.
mapcam 01-07-2007, 07:24 PM Just wanted to add that the KPtechnologies Sunroof Mod is GREAT!
The install is pretty easy, Bongus' picts should help anyone who has questions about the directions. I also wanted to add that Kevin truly stands behind his products--I had a small problem with my module harness and Kevin was able to help me though a quick fix via email. Also (as of December at least) he is still honoring the "double module special pricing" for us ROC folks.
Now I can't imagine life without an auto-moonroof! :D
-Matt
KPierson 01-07-2007, 08:06 PM Great to hear that that fixed the problem!
I would like to set up a special ROC group buy in the very near future featuring the window module and the one touch module.

If you have a SR, this is a must-do mod. Here on the west coast, I'm still using my SR...its been pretty warm. KP's mod makes using the SR more fun...if that's even possible.
mapcam 01-08-2007, 05:54 PM Thought I'd add that I removed the instrument panel (gauge assembly) to give myself a little more room to do SR mod. This is not really necessary, but it also made running the wires easier. In doing this I noticed that if the instrument assembly is unplugged--there are three connectors--the odometer and oil life stay current when reconnected, but the trip counters reset.
Just some interesting RL trivia.

alanderego 04-17-2007, 03:39 AM I am waiting for a mod that will roll up the windows after I start the truck and I am under way with the driver door switch...

twincam 05-09-2007, 03:33 PM Just now seeing this. Did you get enough for your group buy? I would be interested. Thanks!
KPierson 05-09-2007, 04:04 PM The group buy ended months ago. Things went great, we had a high number of participants. The RL specific version of this module is now for sale through www.KPtechnologies.com.

KPierson 05-24-2007, 02:23 PM If there is enough interest in another GB we can offer one, but we generally like to see at least 20 people get in on the GB. We have had very little interest in the RL module since this GB ended.

Kevin maybe you should look at having a poll for all those interested. Thanks for being active in this forum.

As you describe it...no. There is a mod in conjunction with the window up mod that will allow you to close the back slider with the remote (i.e. when you activate the window up feature the back slider closes). Neat feature.
madi05 05-25-2007, 12:09 AM ah so it will close it if it is already opened? but it will not open it when u use the remote to open the other windows ?
thanks

I am positive you would find at list 20 people interested. I, for one, am patiently waiting for the next GB. I will get both Sunroof and window roll up modules. Lack of interest could be because people are hoping to get a GB discount.
Cargo 05-31-2007, 01:12 PM I would be up for a couple of units in a GB. moonroof, window up and beep module.
bongus 06-01-2007, 02:03 AM I would suggest posting a new thread regarding a new GB.
jaiden 08-05-2007, 04:11 PM Man, I missed this whole thing! That's what I get for being an occasional vistor.. :D If another GB happens I'm in for the Window Up & Sunroof. Anyone in?? How do we set up a new GB? I may have to just buy them anyway but I'll hold out for a little bit and see what happpens.

Or you could just swing by one day and have on installed!

Hmm, now that's a thought. Wish I had paid more attention, I was just over at the Nutter Center a few weeks ago! I'm usually a DIY kind of guy, but I might be interested in taking you up on the offer. What would it cost me for the Window & Sunroof modules installed? PM if you don't want to post it. Thanks.
KPierson 08-05-2007, 09:13 PM Ha, I live about 3 mintues from Nutter, right on the other side of the mall.
We install all of the modules we sell for free, if the vehicle is brought to us.

Well, I like the sound of that! So the module with Rear Window is $60 right? I don't see a Ridgeline Sunroof module. Is it the same one as for TSX and Accord for $45? If I came your way, what day(s) of the week would be best? And how much notice do I need to give to set up an install?
Thanks
Raplon 08-06-2007, 08:19 PM And how long does the installation of both modules take?
jmcfad24 08-10-2007, 11:10 PM I'm in for the Group Buy
