I am selling this 6 month old subwoofer box and 2 Alpine type r subwoofers. The box was custom made to fit under the rear seat. The carpet matches the interior of the truck as well. The subwoofer is a sealed design of about 2 cu ft and sounds excellent. I am currently running the subwoofers in a mono 2ohm design to be as efficiant as possible (most amps are 2 ohm stable). I am able to change the wiring to either 2 or 4 ohm at your request. There is no problems at all with these woofers, but I am now ready to step up to the JL Audio 8w7 (which Jl is around 700.00 for the speakers alone). I have attached some pictures. The last one is to show what the back of the woofer looks like. I didn't want to pull the speaker because the enclosure is sealed so well right now. The amp is not included. My amp is behind the seat. I have three where the factory sub enclosure was. I am still listening to these subs and will only upgrade when these sell. Buying jl 8w7's.

Darth, you said you can run it to 4ohm, is that 1 channell 4 ohm or 2 channels? I have been considering, but really don't want to lose space.

Anyway, my amp would be bridged and only stable to 4ohms bridged.

I am currently running in 2 ohm mono on my amp. Since the speakers are dual voice coil you can wire to run 2 ohm mono, 4 ohm mono "bridged" or 2 ohm stereo, or 4 ohm stereo.

I will re-wire to fit whatever your need is. If your amp is able to be 2 ohm stable, most high current amps nowadays are allmost twice as efficent and produce about twice the power. I am currently running an Alpine MDR-1005 amp at 2 ohm with 1000 watts. The speakers can handle wahtever you give it and don't overdrive or "sound like they are hitting the backplates". The excursion is incrediable at nearly 1.5 " and move alot of air for an intense mirror shaking experience. Great deal for a box and subs custom made for the Ridgeline. Shipping is killing me on shipping this at about 75.00 to most places. Local pickup anyone???better price...

I am considering going to the a 8w7 also. Why have you chosen that sub. And why an 8 over the JL 10w7?

The 10" is extremely deep and would not fit in the configuaration I plan of doing.

Did you sell this set yet? Also, do you know how much or how hard it would be to re-carpet the box in grey to match my interior?

Yes, I still have it. It really does sound very good and my luck I wil end up regret selling. I would think it would be easy to recarpet it in the color you want. I have done it several times and the carpet is avaliable at most automotive stores. If interested I may work out the details of changing the color. Just p.m. me and we'll discuss it there.
