Is there any device made to sit/attach to the front seat to place a laptop for use in the RL? I frequently need to use my laptop and would like something that would allow me to secure my laptop so I could use it from either the passenger side door or the drivers seat. In both cases the RL would be parked! It would also be nice if it had an adjustable shade.

This company makes mounts for anything.

Police car computer mount is probably what you need.

I have a Ram Mount installed with a quick release so I do not have to always have it up. Got mine from http://laptopcityonline.com

They are in Florida, were easy to work with.:)

Ridgeline has a special mount that goes in with the seat bolts.
I will upload a few shots as soon as I can. Quick release portion is at home.

djdj has one of these and it works great for him. Maybe you should send him a PM about it if he doesn't spot this thread.

I have a portable desk that sits on the front seat and straps in with the seatbelt. Take a look HERE (http://www.laptoptravel.com/Product.aspx?ID=2399&catID=5166)

It has a non-skid pad the laptop would sit on. The only downside is if yoiu are traveling with the laptop positioned on it, you might need to bungie cord it down. Other than that it is a great desk, lots of storage, writing pad, etc. Also, you don't have the poblem of a permenate install that the jotto type desks have.

I use a laptop all day in my car. The one I currently have is for my Company Trailblazer. It can adjust easily and also can be removed quickly. It just bolts under your seat on the same bolts. It's like a 15 minute installation.
The web site is http://www.jottodesk.us/ and they have one just for the Ridgeline. Good Luck!
