Need a quick sanity check before I walk into a dealership next week...

2007 RTS info from www.kbb.com
invoice = $27,816.14 (including $550 destination)
MSRP = $30,825.00 (including $550 destination)

I've got one internet quote back from a local dealer for $28,950 plus "fees". I can only assume that there is a $400 documentation fee in there (like all other honda dealerships around here). If that's the case, I'm looking at a quote of about $1500 above invoice and about $1500 below MSRP... so about halfway between MSRP and Invoice.

My question is, how much under/over invoice have you been seeing on the 07 RLs?

Also, any ideas how best to follow up on an internet quote ? (I don't want to start a flame war with a dealer!)

Thanks for any advice you can give.

Edit: Forgot to mention I'm in Raleigh, NC in case that helps

I would offer an out the door price (not including taxes and license) of $28,316.

Keep in mind that there will probably be a $1000 dealer incentive go on the 2007's early next month. It may pay to wait.

Good luck!

I also got an internet quote (thru some buying service). I printed out the quote and took it to a different dealer. They beat that quote, no questions asked, no discussion.

You should contact Lou or Kim at Honda of Joliet. (kimhovo@mc.net) I just picked up a 06 RTL at their store and drove back to Jacksonville, FL. The DOC fees in that area are only 57.00.
