An '06 RT.
Now for some ?'s
What's the mileage schedule for oil chgs. ? I saw in the book that the computer indicates on the dash but I've always changed "early".
Anyone know what the Purolator oil filter cross is ?

Thanks. ( I'm sure there's gonna be a bunch more...;) )

VTX, Congrats on a good choice for a truck. You won’t be sorry. To answer your oil question. If your old school you tend to change your oil around 3,000 miles. I’m old school but will tend to change according to the recommendations of Honda and the maintenance minder. Keep in mind that there is break-in oil in it now and I wouldn’t change it until the minder tells you too. I think it will be around 6,000 miles. These new vehicles are ultra low emission and the oil tends to go longer between changes. I use strictly synthetic oil. Your filter question is unknown to me. There was a thread here regarding the best filter. Do a search. Someone did testing on all types of filters and had great data to back it up.:)

Hi VTX, Congrats on your new truck of the year and a warm west coast welcome to this great club! I’m sure you will enjoy both very much.
Your maintenance minder works great if the driving conditions vary or you may just revert back to your old habit of every 3000 miles or 3 months which ever make you comfortable. The Purolator company offers the top ranked in SAE tests oil filters for the Ridgeline. The top of their line is Part Number PL14610 and you can find it ; http://www.pureoil.com/ProductFinder.aspx?action=AS

Have a great weekend and I hope this helps!

VTX,

I picked mine up on Wed, also an RT. The oil recommendations in the thread agree with what my dealer told me. It is a fun vehicle, or so my wife tells me............ I need to get my keys back!
